I have not seen Beverly play, although I did see them once last year. They return a nice group and have added a couple of good freshmen including a very strong forward. The game is at Beverly, which is not a good field alhough a little larger than the postage stamp in Peabody. The issue for Peabody will be surviving a let-down after a big emotional win against their traditional conference rival Danvers.Originally posted by Unregistered View Post
Beverly has yet to play a team with the offensive speed of Peabody or the aggressiveness, so it will be a good indicator of where the Panthers are at. If the Tanners come out flat, and a young Beverly team starts to believe they can play with them, - and Beverly can somehow contain Dowd (which is not easy!!) then an upset is possible. However, my guess is that Beverly is a year away from challenging the Tanners for top spot in the NEC.Comment

This site doesn't seem up-to-date either. Do schools have to report their results? Just wondering if it is a school reporting issue, or a site posting issue. Schools don't report to that MIAA site until the week before the pairings come out for post season. That's because the required deadline for doing so occurs then. For now, the Globe probably has the best info, even if it's not complete. Some coaches are better than others at calling in their scores, and some data entry folks at the Globe are better than others at entering in the numbers correctly. Of course, you can always call the school's athletic office if you need the scores, and some schools have websites that record their teams' records.

Most soccer games could go either way, but rarely do. What exactly does this mean? For a team that doesn't appear to give up goals on the one hand, but doesn't run up the score on the other this seems like a decisive win. What was the deciding factor?
