She plays for a club team ranked 7th in the state???? Oh my! How did she ever manage to get developed and recruited playing for such a team???? And now she's going to play for a D1 college program that just moved into the Top 20??? How can that be???? This is destroying the Stars notion of how it's suppose to work in the world of girls youth soccer!

I remember when my daughter joined her first club team at age 12. She seemed so young to be playing club soccer. Little did I know!

I forgot how horrible hs soccer is! I forgot how BAD the refs are. OMG the hacking, the kicking, the chopping, the slicing and dicing, the sloppy kick and hack game is back and its going to be a looonnggg season guys.

Your kid is going to the wrong school. I know no one wants to here it, because it is expensive (and can't say I blame you), but the private schools provide a pretty good brand of soccer. Decent coaching, god facilities and the reffng ain't too bad either. If you play in the ISL they even use the 3 ref system,

No big surprises yesterday in the North. Wins by A/B, Westford, Danvers, Masco, Newburyport, Arlington Cath. and Newton North. Framingham continues to struggle and in a minor surprise Somerville was beaten 5-1 by Medford. The early poor performance by Gloucester (0-2) is a surprise as they figured to be a more competitive team out of the NEC.

Great early contest today between Peabody and A/B. Should give some indication about the strength of two favorites in D1 North. Game is at 4pm in Peabody.

That's great if it does, but if it doesn't and you can manage it, private schools provide a great soccer experience. That's all I was saying.
