Ludlow exposed the three weaknesses of North. One the GK , two they give way to much space in the mid field which allows for possession vs them as the gap is large, and three they get forward but don't get back after getting forward. Ludliw took advantage of this. Ludllow was the far superior team. North appeared overmatched and one again to much 1v1 not enough team play by north. They got by the Gonk with 1v1 but not Ludlow.

Reports out of WMass is that a fan brawl cut short tonight's Ludlow-Worcester North D1 boys soccer semifinal w/ 2 min left. Ludlow won tho

Can anybody confirm/deny? Sounds intense

I have no rooting interest in these 2 teams or anyone else in WMass or CMass for that matter.

You gotta think that there were a lot of skirmishes in this game that lead up to this problem. The North kid needlessly and stupidly (seeing as according to a game story I read, he already had a yellow and was most likely going to get tossed) runs into the keeper.

Could anyone who was there or watched the video tell whether or not the game was caleld before the fight broke out? Again, a bunch of incidents were the most likely reason the ref did that.

Who was the ref- CMass (and anyone who hates the EMSOA will lot complain much after they watch that bunch) or WMass?

Gonk won 2-0 in a scrimmage against Ludlow today. Starting lineup has 10 seniors and one strong junior. Could finally bring central mass a state championship

Nope. Too much MPS. As predicted early on. Even with a stacked team, they couldn't reach the heady heights reached by Ludlow. Congrats to Ludlow once again.

You must be a sophomore. They have a few MPS kids who play together, including the goalie who'll replace MK, and a good defender. This MPS team has had very limited success, so don't know how good these kids can really be, considering the best of the best lost resoundingly to WN at the end of this season. Can't imagine what other sophs you're referring to. I understand there are at least a couple with bad tempers, so I expect to see some of the same fireworks we've seen in years past.

Gonk was 100% out played, out shot and out hustled. I'm not affiliated with either school. Was very impressed with N. Middlesex !! KM you were out coached and your team outplayed by PM and his boys tonight !! Gonk should thank the soccer gods. Worcester North the district title is yours to lose after what i saw tonight. If a gonk parent wants to defend this one I'm all ears !
