This is why so many Gonk supporters miss JF. He always tried to include as many of the older good players possible, so the school had proper v, jv & freshmen programs. Now it's a complete mess. Younger kids thinking they're better than they are, older ones not able to play with kids their own age they know are really good. But I'm sure the coaches son is having a good time.
I believe that most coaches' kids have a more difficult time than the other players; the expectations are generally set higher. Sounds like a great deal of whining and unhappiness with your respective child's playing time.

Southborough's historically had the better town coaching, so don't forget Northborough!

You're absolutely entitled to your belief. Doesn't mean you're correct, though.

Used to use this site all the time and visited it daily to check it out. Now that it's all about Algonquin I check maybe once every 2 weeks.

Likewise. It's really a bit much. I've tried to start chatter about G-D. Tried to go positive. Introduce other teams to the discussions. It's kind of comical.

              Let's try again.

I think Worcester South may have been kind of overlooked this year. They're 8-2 and have had very good success. I love the West African greater Worcester connection the last few years. Oduro the center mid at North is absolutely a cornerstone midfielder. The Ghanians and Ivory Coast players really open up the game. It's fun.

Too bad about Leominster this year. What a difference a year makes. I saw the district final last year and they had quite a machine. They're really not bad this year, just the schedule from hell for a really young team. I have a lot of respect for kids that play for Fitchburg and Leominster. They're having fun playing the game. I remember a couple sports teams I played for that had really bad records and all the pressure is gone. It can be fun.

How about JF from North Middlesex. 12 goals and 2 assists now (sophmore plays for FC Stars with a nose for the goal).

Wachusett seems to be coming on stronger. They beat Milford pretty handily on Milford's poor excuse for a field.

I see Groton-Dunstable had a draw with Dracut. If Dracut could do it, Chelmsford certainly will be able to give them a game.

              Hmmm...let's see...anything else?...

Yeah, Marlboro is up and down. techincally their kids might have the best touch on the ball but the team defending, especially on set pieces is horrific. They are a wildcard in all of this.

So Marlboro and GD square off again tomorrow. Time to see who is up and who is down.

Marlboro is playing for their tournament lives. G/D is looking to continue their roll to the number 1 seed in D2. G/D wins.

Agree mostly but with following tweaks:

Agreed, he's the #1 Goal scorer in CMass, but look who's #2. And there are 5 kids with over 12 points from GD.

And even better, one of their best goal scorers, an MPS player DR, a three year starter, just returned from a season long injury.

GD plays a weak schedule that any decent player can rack points up on. Not one team in Mid Wach "B" has a winning record. They play Leominster twice who is 0-12, D3 Blackstone-Millville and Innovation Charter ( who hasn't won a game and in first year of varsity soccer )
The only teams they have played thus far in Bromfield and Dracut. Not say they aren't good players but stats are inflated. I'd way the stats of the Top 3-5 Mid Wach "A" players or some of the North HS players more as they play a much harder schedule

They play Marlboro twice (#3 in the unofficial D1 ranking above, who Algonquin scored once on), plus Nashoba, who is #8 in that same poll. Playing nearly anyone in CMass is easy these days.
