Can you imagine saying the losing team "out played" the winning team in any other sport? Football? Basketball? Hockey? I suppose it a testimony to the beauty of the game that soccer is about something besides winning. In all other sports, the score alone is what determines who out played whom.

Happens all the time in soccer. The better team doesnt always win. One team has 12,13,14, etc chances at goal but cant finish. Other team gets one look at goal and finishes for 1-0 win. In soccer and hockey the better team does not always win !!

Yes, this is what KM said last year when Gonk lost in states semis vs Ludlow. He thought his team was the better team on the night, but Ludlow won, and then won the whole thing.

Of course the better team doesn't win every time, but they win most of the time. If they don't, they are not the better team. They are a team with good possession skills that can't finish and needs to work on their defense. If the "bad" team hadn't scored, they wouldn't have won either.

No - I was at the game. The coach has made liberal substitutions when games were 0 to 0 and 1 to 0 but none when the game was clearly in control. So tired of people defending coaches all the time - news alert there are so truly poor coaches out there at the Gonk and other schools.

Question for the masses. Should second assists be counted in season stats. I have heard lots of different opinions. How do coaches handle them?
