The ISL as a league is a bit overrated in my view...good but not this "super league" some make it out to be on this board. There are some good teams and some really bad teams.
For instance, take the top 12 teams in girl's soccer from the ISL (13 teams in the league) and have them play the Bay State Conference (12 teams). Seed them by standings by league (#1 plays the #1, #2 plays the #2, and so forth):
Framingham v. Nobles
Weymouth v. Governors
Wellesley v. Brooks
Norwood v. Rivers
Needham v. Groton
Dedham v. Milton Academy
Newton North v. BB&N
Milton v. Middlesex
Walpole v. Lawrence
Natick v. Thayer
Braintree v. St. George's
Brookline v. St. Paul's
I have seen all the ISL teams play and 6 of the BSC teams play and I suspect when all the games were played, the record would be very even. The point is the ISL compares favorably with a public school league: nothing more, nothing less.
And for all the Nobles fans, Framingham would have beaten Nobles by 2-3 goals...way too much skill, speed, and physical talent.

As most will acknowledge, club play is where the elite get their skill and recognition and where the talented go for high-quality soccer.
It would be interesting to see where the two team's players play their club soccer (and thus extrapolate ones skill/talent from the caliber of their club team...for example does one team have mostly MAPLE players and the other has National League players).
It is easy to suggest that one team has better speed, skill and talent but another to BACK IT UP with some facts. The only common denominator is club-play. Thus, can anyone list where these girls play outside of school? Otherwise, this is just a name-calling, trash-talking, back and forth waste of time.

Nobles - I believe they have: 4 FC Stars (Red Bull League), 4 Scorpions (National League), 3 MPS (Super-Y Legaue), and others in MAPLE playing 'up'.

Do you realize the absurdity of this comment? Nobles won the class A, New England Private School Athletic Conference Championship by beating Philips Andover AND Loomis Chaffee in the playoffs and has been ranked #1 or 2 in the NEPSAC for the past three years?
Framingham didn't even advance into the State finals this year (correct?)

Your kidding right? I have no horse in this one but I can tell you with confidence that Nobles is much stronger side and is consistently year to year much stronger than 95% of public schools in MA. Their program has attracted very good players with the means to attend for at least the last 10 years. Having said that they should be better as they are not limited by geographic boundries for their pool of players and can in fact recruit players.
They have 7 MPS kids, 2 FC Stars kid (one on U 16 Stars United and one on U16 Stars Rovers) and two other MAPLE club kids. That is 11 in total. They also have two terrific athletes (one will be a D1 lacrosse kid next year in college) who don't' play club soccer but did in earlier years but recently focused on LAX. So again, a very good team!
