No..thanks to you two coaches for chiming in on this thread. I love how its fine for individual players to be the subject of discussions on this board but not their overpaid coaches. Who is ok to be on the receiving end of "cheep" shots besides kids? According to you two jamokes, its not ok to discuss the quality of coaching. I assume you cant discuss which are the better clubs either or which leagues are worth playing in because that lends itself to "cheep" shots. So lets just limit those attacks to kids, their parents and ODP. And you garbage men with whistles wonder why you are unemployable in the real world.
Thank you for proving my point. FYI... Former coach and parent of two club players. My two kids play for a small club on the south shore and like their coaches and teammates. Haven't coached in 8 years. Never coached club, just a small New England college. If my kids are happy and developing as people and players that's all I care about.
Why so angry? If you are angry, why would you allow your child to play for these "overpaid" coaches. Sooner or later you will realize none of these coaches are getting rich coaching club soccer.
I didn't get a chance to read the two threads in question, but I have to agree that I find it a bit distrubing that there are plenty of threads that talk about good/bad players but there can't be one about good/bad coaches?
The good coaches thread wasn't bad, but the bad coaches thread was about name calling of parents, players and coaches. It was parents talking bad about other parent's kids and coaches. Nothing being supported with fact. Kind of sad that this is what youth soccer has come too. There was one post on the bad coaches side that actually gave an honest opinion of what defines a good and bad coach. The rest of it was bitter attacks over a game. True soccer fans don't need to sink that low. There was very little "discussing" going on that thread.

Have a nice day.
PS Responding without name calling.
total horsebleep post your condescending goober. You never coached club but are here to save everybody in cyberland from meanie posts about club coaches??? you also know about the salaries of club coaches and that they arent "getting rich"??? ok fraud club coach who never coached club but has 2 kids developing as people and players...haaaaaaaaaaaaaa what a fraud
I think the average salary is about $4,000 per team. It depends on the club. I'm the manager of my son's team and I'm only going by talks with my head coach.

so you made a condescending, overly broad comment based upon your very limited knowledge on the subject?
