Agreed, especially since the coup was lead by the team manager in the middle of the season, that is in poor taste. The end doesn't justify the means. You are teaching your kids its OK to sneak around and obfuscate to get a leg up. If you want to leave, you should do so in a more open, honest and less treasonous manner. why is it so bad to try and find a team that is a better fit for your child. Not all clubs and coaches are perfect for every player. It looks like the offensive players from the Pioneers are on the move because the coach over there plays an overly aggressive defensive game to protect a suspect GK and keep the games within reach. The Pioneers have 3 or 4 girls that could score if given the chance to play an offensive game. let them try and win a few 4-3 games instead of losing 1-0 or tying 0-0 all the time. Every parent should be looking at multiple clubs. You are foolish if you don't.

Please read my post. I am NOT saying it is bad to look for another team. I think it is really a sad comment on youth soccer when it is done the way this is being done, a coup by the team mangers, mid-season, and behind the backs of the coaches and to the exclusion of the players not considered worthy of the opportunity. It is the WAY IT IS BEING DONE that many think is in poor taste and teaching your kids its OK to be sneaky about something, that's all. I am just glad my kid doesn't play in this division or part of the state.

Folks abused BB for what he did and MAPLE suspended him. Now RL, with weeks left in the MAPLE season has held clinics and completed and filled his roster for the Fall well in advance of when either MAPLE or NEP will allow tryouts. I don't see a whole lot of difference in a larger view of things though I would bet he has skirted any technical recruitment violations like BB violated.

Funny how dead on Kerry's post was regarding switching jobs. Yes, Dear Uncle Ed claims to be retiring from coaching soccer, but before his Favre-esque announcement, he too was shopping around. I guess its OK for a coach and club to do behind the scenes recon but not players.

And we wonder why there is no club loyalty.

I find it funny everybody is so concerned with Uncle Ed and the Pioneers. Doesn't anybody have a life besides demeaning people and the club. People that are on this site are so negative, these are 12 year olds that are devastated by their coaches deparTure and all you people do is bring a negative side to soccer. People need to grow up and find a life.Shame on You for writing the things you do to hurt kids and their parents.
