Yeah and then I am sure all the egos and little perfect Mia's will fade away and you will all be singing We are Family. Ask how many players will be on their 2nd or 3rd club in as many years and you will soon see your past, present and future. Good luck, this is a very discontented, meddling group with decent players who are no even close to as good as their parents think they are. Nice kids, brutal parents. . If you win State Cup you have a chance to stay together otherwise expect the same exact thing next year when the grass is greener somewhere else.

Why is everyone making such a big deal out of this? Kids leave clubs, teams fall apart. In fact, U13 is the stage when it usually happens.

This is life . You take a job that you believe is going to suit your needs and goals. Then, after working for one or two years, you realize this job doesn't suit you or your current goals any longer. You then begin to look to see what else is out there, and you find another job that you believe, will be a better fit. If its possible, you spend some time volunteering at the company to see how it works first hand, and decide to take the risk to swirch jobs.

Any sort of change is a risk, and this job may not be where you end up for life, but its YOUR life and YOUR decision. Your old company and fellow employees may be upset with you for leaving, not because they care about what is in your best interest, but in theirs. They care because they know you are a hard worker and make the company better, but you don't stay in the old job because its in their or the company's best interest. Why aren't you loyal? You aren't loyal because you know that if another employee came along who the company felt was a better fit, they would fire you in a heart beat.

Club soccer is a business, so why not treat it like one, especially since they are not paying your child to play. You are paying them.

One last comment... No one would care if the players that were leaving either team sucked. Kim, I am proud of you for making the move. See you in the Quiet Corner.

It never stops amazing me how dumb a U12 parent can be. Great post!

The quiet corner? Seems like all the Pioneer and WU parents need a time out and to just let the kids play.

My child is no little "MIA", however with the right coaching could do a lot better than she has been. It is a business, and if your not happy, then you move on- I'm paying the coaches/club to teach my kid, if she is not learning anything, then guess what TIME TO MOVE ON!! If it is 2 or 3 different clubs in a few years then too bad.

                        Signed: MYOB!

I guess I'm a little confused why everyone is so upset about all of the Stars West thing. Players are free to look into other teams and leave teams at the end of the season. Why are they considered backstabbers? And what is there to not trust about them? Because they are leaving the team? Or because they didn't tell the whole team they are thinking of leaving? Let the players go who don't want to be on the teams anymore - why would you want them to stay when they don't want to? Won't they just be unhappy and bring the team down? Did any of these players ever commit to more than one season at a time to these teams?

I think we need to let the girls go and stop all the name calling and move on. Teams will find new players and life will go on. Hopefully all the teams involved will find themselves having a good season next year! In the end - don't we just want our daughters to be happy? Cracks me up - ten years from now this will all seem so insignificant!

It should bother your whole team, basically it is just like the Manny, not happy halfway through the season and quitting on your the team.

That is what it is, quitting on your team while the season is in progress.

It is hard to believe that anyone thinks it is ok to call players(recruit) and have practices while the season is in progress.

Stop quitting on your teams, finish the season then shop your Mia around.

Sounds like people should stop sucking on the angry pill and let people do what they want to. Its club soccer for KIDS, not club soccer for YOU. If someone is extremely serious and talented enough to move to elite teams and beyond that, they'll find places, clubs to play for. If its simply to play, play at the place thats best for you and try to get a grip on how this seems to be ruining your life because if youth club soccer IS your life, its time to see someone professionally. The poster is right, let them go. Its club soccer and not the US Army SF or "Seal Team Six". Maybe the kids are leaving because of other parents like yourself or snotty team mates (and I'm not trying to offend you, just offer that there are any number of reasons a kid loses interest in a group and wants to move on). Just do whats best for your child and leave the judgement to God.

Agreed, especially since the coup was lead by the team manager in the middle of the season, that is in poor taste. The end doesn't justify the means. You are teaching your kids its OK to sneak around and obfuscate to get a leg up. If you want to leave, you should do so in a more open, honest and less treasonous manner. OK to leave, just not like this.
