Dr. Z we are waiting for your predictions. This weekend was very interesting for some teams. Are the Pioneers falling from grace or did they just have a bad tournament on the score board. I saw the game against NECF PM and did not look as impressive as they did in years pass. Did Scorpions Premiere play above their heads or is KD developing these girls into a well oiled machine. I was able to watch their semifinal game and they out played World Cup but could not find the net. I also watched the NEFC final and they did dominate the play also but World Cup is a very good team that bends but does not break. I heard the Scorpions Elite played SoccerPlus this weekend and won something like 8-0. Western United is struggling in Sub Regional league and the Aztecs played well in VA. I am going to go out on a limb and predict the standing in Maple but it does not really matter since all of these teams except Pioneers will be playing in NEP this fall. Let the fun begin. I am not listing why I think this because I do not want to promote or belittle teams.

I don't doubt that Scorpions Elite beat SoccerPlus by 8 goals. That wouldn't surprise me in the least. Not taking anything away from the Scorpions team, but SoccerPlus does not have very many good teams. Everyone knows why they are in the ECNL, and it has nothing to do with the quality of their teams.Comment

True. This age group has the most parody in the state. If you look at all of the other age groups, the top talent is more consolidated. Even the two age groups right below U13 have more consolidation already.Originally posted by Unregistered View Post

I don't see this age group as close as everyone thinks. This is a two horse race to the top between Scorps and Aztec. They are the only two teams that are 1 or 2 players away from being regional powerhouses. Everyone else would need to make cuts similiar to what NEFC did. They cut 8 kids and it looks like they will probably have to cut another 5-6 more. Both them and Stars are hoping to land the NH player but both need a lot more. Scorps needs a GK and maybe 1 mid and a back. Aztecs are a striker away from being dangerous.
