I'm sure FM will try and get her there somehow.Especially if it means a repeat of his 16's.

They cut 8 kids and it looks like they will probably have to cut another 5-6 more. Both them and Stars are hoping to land the NH player but both need a lot more. Scorps needs a GK and maybe 1 mid and a back. Aztecs are a striker away from being dangerous. We need 5 on my daughters team to be a strong contender.

I think NEFC and the Stars will be very surprised where the NH player ends up.

The Scorps U13 are doing pre-ENCL and it is proving to be less expensive that sub-regional and the quality of the teams played are on the same level. ECNL, because you know the scheule in advance, can be less expensive since you get to book in advance. Both ways require travel and at times hotel stays. One way is not better than the other, just different paths leading hopefully to the same place. Can we just leave it at that?????

Only if she wants to be an individual player with no tactical sense or ability to play within a team system.

Absolutely no truth to this other than a parent with an ax to grind. Truth be told this group has come together as a team as they way they are playing show that. At Jefferson Cup they played very well against some very hard teams in the top bracket, they are good and only will get better.

Would be excellent training for HS and college.

I think your post was stated in an objective and respectful manner and the obligatory snide FM comment that followed was uncalled for. However, I am not familiar with the travel requirements for pre-ECNL so I have no idea if your observation is generally correct or only correct for your team based upon your specific experiences.

My kid has played in both the sub-regional and regional league and in the 3 years we have been involved in 1 league or another, the team's managers have been successful at limiting trips that require an over night stay to 1 trip to Long Island each season. Of course we have made up to 2 hour drives to play in CT, NH or Maine, but none of those required an over night stay and the trips to CT and NH were no further to drive for our family than prior trips for Maple games in Western MA or Plymouth .

So far the only pre-ENCL traveling was done in December. The Scorps played in NJ on Saturday and in Long Island on Sunday. It did involve an overnight stay. Last week-end they played a team from Ct who traveled here, but when we play again we will head there, but it will be a day trip. Most of the traveling it seems will be similiar to traveling for sub-regional/regional.

This is a sincere question and I would appreciate a sincere answer. Could you please explain what you mean by the pre-ECNL? Who are you playing and how many games do you have against them? Do these games count towards anything or are they really just friendlies? More important, how does the pre-ECNL impact the future flight assignment of the team? If the team is not travelling in the U13-U14 years how is it going to build a strong enough resume to justify being in the "A" Flight against the top national teams for the U15 year in the ECNL? This may be a little bit of a loaded question but if a team is not in the "A" flight do you believe that it will get the same benefits of a team that is?

The fact that no one is willing to answer this one should speak volumes.

Believe it or not Fred has everyone on that U13 believing they are being so smart and money conscious with his "we're not travelling" routine when the reality is he just can't give that team his time because he's bailing water with the older two teams. You are being played dudes!!
