There have been a lot of soccer events since then and my memory may be a little shakey but I am pretty certain we actually played that one and the notation on the MAPLE site is incorrect.

I know that my daughter really respects our forward and appreciates what she can do on a soccer field. She is an amazing soccer talent and a great kid. They were in the same class in school for a long time and have played together for years. They are actually pretty close friends and I know they both appreciate being able to travel the path they are travelling together. While everyone in this ultimately has to make decisions based upon their own kid's best interest, the thing that you should really understand is that the two family's do recognize how unique our situation is and how each benefits from it.
        Translation:

BTDT's family is benefiting FAR more than the other way round.

BTDT knows full well that a great GK is not as important if the overall strength of the team is very high. So they'll keep sucking up to the striker & her family in the hope that when she makes the jump to the Stars, they'll somehow be able to go along.

Goalie is very important. Nefc goalie is awesome.Scorpions have no goalie...and in state cup that killed them against pioneers. They lost 5 to 2 .

We all agree that the u13 NEFC goalie is very good. But as the overall quality of the team improves, the goalie can take on less importance.

Ridiculous. Comment. Keep flipping the burgers pal. goalies can steal the game. How many games are won 1 to 0. Lots.

Keepers can make or break a team. Your strength is from back to front. A great keeper can be a game breaker. Keepers on great teams only have to make 1 or 2 big saves a game everything else is routine. Keepers need to make these routine saves day in and day out. Scorpions have never had great keepers until the older ages. The parents should not get upset if their daughter has to play one or two halves in the spring if it makes the team better, college scouts are not looking at them yet.

Do the Scorpions have an advantage over other clubs with two D1 teams. My daughters team tied them both and they played completely different styles of soccer. FM team was more athletic and played direct to the forwards. KD team played more connected and as a team. They both were very skilled. I think that if both teams stay with the program they will have a edge over other teams due to players still not fully developed yet.

the question is will they hold it together long enough for any of it too matter.. if any of these teams are to emerge as a true regional and national contender they are going to have to woo most of the top tier talent in the state to join them.. this level of team is seldom if ever home grown.. like the other contenders, the scorpions face some pretty sizable obstacles.. an awful lot of competition for players and the deviceness of their ecnl participation are top on the list.. there are a lot more options for players than in years past so they are not the hands down choice they once might have been.. regardless of whether you believe in the ecnl or don't, there is a cost to committing to it and not everyone can afford it.. the scorpions are not going to be the easiest sale.. just keeping ship on course is going to take some effort also.. the politics of an a/b team scenario make it difficult to sustain them even under the best of circumstance so given the personalities in the scorpions organization it could be a pretty tough job keeping the talent in place and role players continually developing.

That would apply in spades to the young a/b/c/d/e/ NEFC teams and the egos involved with their coaches!!!

You're being kind to the poster you quoted.

The Scorpions Elite team has reached their ceiling. It is full of mostly early developers, not the other way around. These players were not cared for by FM. He let them rely on their athleticism and refused to put in any effort teaching them how to play.

The new addition to NEFC is going to thrive in the new environment playing for a better coach in a better club.

Expect more defections from Scorpions in the next 3 months in that age group.

I'm sorry but NEFC U13 team is kickball for results. There are only a few teams playing soccer in this age group and they are not one of them. She will be used to win games just like she was used before and that's why she is now behind.

You've never seen the NEFC team play.
