interesting, i don't think they have played much indoor this winter.. could it be you are just a little bitter that she doesn't play for your team.. the truth is that in 2 1/2 years the nefc team has scored 169 goals in all of their outdoor games, my bet is the scorer has accounted for well over 90% of them.. you may discount her because of her blinding speed but she does create shots even with 2-3 defenders on her and does finish a very high percentage of them .. show us a player around here that is better at what she does or has more upside.

The simple fact that you know that the team has scored 169 goals in 2.5 years in outdoor games from ages 11-13 indicates that you really need some sort of professional help

But 10-8-3 in the fall, the way people pontificate about this team, I thought they never lost

you show yourself for the troll that you really are.. no one has even come close to making that ascertain.. the discussion here has been fairly consistent in the belief that the top teams are all pretty close.. and for some reason posters like you seem to want to diss kids that have already been identified and put on the top tier path.. whether you agree with that assessment or not is irrelevant because the process put these kids into the spotlight and now they are widley recognized as the front runners in the age group.. put them down if you must but know that they are the ones that will define where everyone else will land because 3 years from now they are the ones that will be drawing in the coaches..

This age group is absolute tops for parental obsession and over-involvement. All this talk over 12 year olds.

Sarcastic, yes. Troll no. Furthermore, there is no dissing of any kid, especially 12 year olds. Sorry if I question that more than 152 out of 169 goals over 2 1/2 years are due to 1 player, seems a tad bit disingenous to the remainder of the team to me. You're the one dissing the remainder of the team. I understand that NEFC wants to become a significant player, and that's fine, good for them, I wish them luck, I get it, but rest assured that the Stars are going to make a real strong play for her

Give it a break will you, who are you to pick which age group it is appropriate to talk about. I suppose this forum should be only about the high school years huh? Just look back over the forum, the discussions run the gamut. How do you think parents learn how to navigate in this crazy world of club soccer? It is never to early....

Why do you assume that the pitch has not already been made or that none of these families can make a decision that doesn't entail the Stars? They are one option but not the only one and U14 is quite early to make that move if that move is to be made.

Where else would they go? Stars are the #1 club in Mass on the girls side. I'm sure this will get all the Scorp/NEFC/MPS/ETC puppets out of the woodwork. But if people can find a way to look beyond their own walls, there is no question that Stars are the #1 girls destination team.

You are wrong. What does the Stars team in this age group really offer? They probably have the weakest roster of the contenders which means that in order for them to get there they will have to turn over a big chunk of their roster to get there. Then no matter how you slice it, the ECNL is going to take the biggest slice out of your wallet. Finally, they don't have Hamblin as a coach. There isn't another coach in the age group who has the recruiting juice that he has. Other than name recognition, they don't have a whole lot on their side of the ledger card to suggest the slam dunk you suggest.

                              Excellent, accurate and well-thought-out post.

The only thing I disagree with is your statement about CH having more connections, "recruiting juice", than any other coach in the group. JD has great connections as does DS. I would say the three are all equal in that catagory. Please do not get me wrong, CH has great connections and does a nice job with this team.

I still don't understand your logic of how ECNL costs so much more. The NEFC, MPS and others are still going to the same tournaments, riding the same planes and staying in comparable hotels, they just don't get into the top brackets, play the top teams and get as many college coach watching like the ECNL teams do. Now I would say that dollar value is better on the ECNL teams.
