well, good luck to the kick and chase rely on the one forward approach! It works for a few years, usually these teams fall off.

I'm sure the majority opinion is the top two teams are stars, then scorps, so the rest doesn't really matter. These teams will get better, everyone else should start falling off.

"Agree" These parents are always right because they know it all, Funny how the thread is loaded with parents who are living their dreams through thier u12 kids or parents on here who got nothing better to do than criticize u12 players and coaches. The parents that are on here are ignorant and living their dreams through there kids going to the game week in and week out thinking there the ones on the fields playing screaming on the side lines like idiots, in reality its the their little u12 daughter or son out there playing, than they come on this thread and bash each other as if they are the players on the fields and the teams.
Shows no class at all.

Let the kids enjoy the game of soccer. It is parents and people like you guys that kids lose interest at an early age. And it is not just soccer but other sports also.

i think you forgot about the 6-0 drubbing in the fall tournament (i.e. I want to live in the past) that explosion took.

explosion has a short shelf life. too much kick it far to the forward and hope she outruns everyone. it's going to catch up with them, and it can't beat a good team like Stars (as evidenced by 6-1 loss in final).

my prediction is stars and scorps will be top two again next year.

If I remember correctly, Scorps finished FIFTH in MAPLE this spring (losing to Explosion on your home field) and lost in the semi-finals last weekend (Explosion at least made it to the finals where we were soundly beaten by the Stars, all props bestowed)

Explosion did beat Scorps during the season but that was not their home field. They usually play on grass fields in Pembroke not on the turf in Braintree. Not an excuse, just a correction.

Let's take a look at how Explosion got to the final, they played a #19 seed in the quarterfinal, then a #7 seed in the semi-final. Scorpions played a #6 Seed in the first QF, then a #4 seed in the second QF, then the #1 seed in the semi. Don't tell me you didn't have an easier path to get to the final!

You're correct. The benefit of finishing in the top four is an easier path in the playoff. Explosion won the games they were supposed to win all season. How did Scorps do at the end of the season? 0-1-2 (you couldn't beat the Vipers who are 1-6-1). Next year don't finish in fifth place and maybe you'll have an easy run also.

Explosion parents act like lunatics and the kids play like a pickup game at their school. We knew getting by the Scorps meant a sure victory in the finals at Irwin. We all know that beating in the final could have been a whole lot worse. I think our coach felt bad and was probably a little afraid of the sideline behavior. Sorry Exp. parents, your group is an undisciplined, unruly orange flash in the pan.

Explosion parents can admit when their daughter's team gets beaten by a better team on the field of play. These parents trying to spread animosity Explosion and Stars/Scorps need to accept the fact that their child didn't meet their unrealistic expectations of conquering the planet, actually had a decent season and just move on.
