Great point. And both years they beat teams -- Sandwich and Canton come to mind -- loaded with some fairly high-end club players.

Who are you??? Is your life so empty that you can't stand the thought that some pretty amazing 18-year old young men have a fine opportunity in front of them? Is your life mantra "If I can't have "it" no one will!?" Will it "thrill" you if one or more of these boys doesn't make the roster or get any playing time freshman year?

If you answered yes to any of these questions (and let's be honest you did) take a look in the mirror and ask yourself "What has happened to me?"

The CC coach is absolutely amazing. From what I've seen, CC is (tactically speaking) on par with a lot of D3 schools.

Please let's no overdue it with the comparisons. CC is a fine high school soccer team, but repeat a fine HS soccer team. A HS team which has a number of club players on it. Please do not try to compare it to any college team--D3, D2 or D1. I'm sure the CC coach is a tremendous coach and his record proves this, but the team is not on par with "a lot of D3 colleges" or likely any for that matter. Congratulations to the CC boys who are looking to play soccer in college, hopefully they all succeed--however they will likely find out that playing D3 mens college soccer in the NESCAC or any other D3 league is alot more difficult than playing in the Dual County League.

You completely missed my point - I was praising CC's tactical sense (passing, movement, team defense, etc.), not comparing them to any college team in terms of overall ability. I played D3 soccer and can attest to the obvious talent gap between the two levels of play.

            Sorry for the confusion

Any new Boys HS 2011 player destinations?

I saw many HS teams play this fall and CC was not the best amoung them. Their back line was slow and forwards unimpressive. They had a very good midfield. I think in the canton game there was one own goal from a young canton team.

I think they would have struggled againest Sandwich which I was felt was the better team than Canton (Canton goalie was the difference)

I can not figure out why a team like CC does not play Div 1, I can only think it is to pad resume.

Their school population ( Boys )is more than Wellsley which is Div 1. They have more boys than CM Falmouth Dartmouth and OA. Also Quabbin and Nashba are close.

Clearly, CC wants to win state and would have a harder time if they played in the division they belonged to according to population. Kinda makes that trophy sound a little hollow.

How about keeping it to the title of the thread and not rehashing HS soccer from last Fall.

Were you intoxicated when you watched the game? CC's back line out classed, out muscled and were superior athletes to pretty much any back four in the state. 2 D3 players and a D1 sweeper as well as a sophomore who plays for NEFC. Also, pretty sure CC soundly beat Sandwich the previous year when they were a much stronger team. Check your facts.

who's the d1 "sweeper?" how tactically superior can CC be if they play with a sweeper? time to move out of the dark ages of soccer.

CWJ... fielding offers from Umass, UNH, George Mason and Lafayette. He's a 2012 but should be a 2011.

Oh I'm sorry you're able to look at the roster on a website and know the whole story. He decided he'd rather play lacrosse in the spring and play on the showcase team, then he went to Phoenix, played well, and is now on the academy team.
