If you take a look at this ESPN RISE web site, there is a vast difference in the number of 2010 graduates committed to colleges from MA vs the 2011 commits.
The 2011 list currently shows the following number of kids from MA:
D3: 1
D2: 0
D1: 8
A total of 9 kids from MA listed.
The 2010 list of kids from MA is very different:
D3: 28
D2: 0
D1: 19
For a total of 42 kids from MA listed.
(One kid, AB, appears on the 2010 list for Bryant, and on the 2011 list for Holy Cross).
I think everyone will agree that more than 9 Massachusetts graduates will end up playing college soccer next fall. And I think we all know kids from last year and from this year that are committed to colleges that aren't listed on ESPN RISE.
So can we please stop pointing to this web site as the definitive source for college soccer commitments?

And I'm not blaming ESPN; it's not their problem. I just think that there have not been as many talking soccer posters letting us know like there was last year.

One possibility in addition to 2011 being weak is that some of these posters are correct....DAP is making a big difference but the greatest impact is on the MA DAP kids. DAP as a national program is actually hurting the MA DAP kids more than the non-DAP kids. Spots that previously might have been taken by upper-tier local kids (now playing DAP) are going to better DAP kids from other areas.
