If you read as well as you write and your ability to think follows along with those, I can understand why you would elect to skip it.

      Now I got that point!

And here's mine - don't write a book when trying to make a point in this forum, or in most avenues of life. Our culture is geared to the short and sweet. Learned that in business school. The best writing course I ever took was in business school too.

That our culture is geared to the short and sweet does not equate with that being the best way to approach complex decisions. Given the fact that big business and banking interests have brought the world to the brink of economic collapse and mya yet do so, I wouldn't hold up what was taught in business school as having anything to say about anything beyond narrowly defined objectives of business.

Now, now, the real problem came from having government policy that affects business driven by people with no business experience.

Ok, didn't know that it was the govnerment that came up with the idea of fraudulent mortgage backed securities. Isn't that why investment goups like TIAA-CREF and others are suing the banks that sold them these worthless securities? You are correct though that it is the government's fault. Happened with repeal of glass -steagall and other reductions in regulations of big banks. Need to have massive increase in regulation of business because without it the crooks rise to the top, as ample evidence demonstrates.

I guess a business degree teaches one how to have a self-serving undertsanding that is a mile wide and a millimeter deep.

More than happy to have at this with you, just move to politics thread. Looking forward to replying to anything you post there later.

This was funny, albeit not very original. I actually had to go back and check if that is the right name. Folks assume that posters must have a personal stake in a little spat, and while that often may be the case, it is not always the case. I've never seen the kid or CC play (although I have seen CD play and he is an exceptional player). I was reacting more to the critique that some kids can't possibly be getting recruited or "supported" to play college soccer unless they have the exact pedigree that some in this forum believe is essential. And the reason they believe this is because they have too much to lose if they're wrong, too much invested to feel so stupid.

Note to self - I hope you find something else to focus on between now and September.

Although two of them don't play club, those three players from CC are all very solid. They did bring home two MASS state championships back to back. I mean that has to say something

You really seem to be stuck on this, so please tell us why. You have denied that it has anything to do with forcing you to question your own path, and the money spent, and the amount of ego invested. So what is it?
