Re: 12s v 13s
this season's 12s are not very strong compared to the 13s. the 13 age group is far stronger than the 13 age group.
The 11s is a better group than the 12s.
before people think I'm trolling, I'm actually serious about this.

The Stars 11s are far and away the best in that age group. They did not fair well playing with the 12s in the fall. But you suggest that the 11s group in general would do better against the 13s than the 12s. Of course you also wrotethe 13 age group is far stronger than the 13 age group.

Re: 12s v 13s
Stars 12's have consistantly beat the Stars u11's. Why do you want to compare age groups, two different rosters two different groups of players.

Re: 12s v 13s
question was 12s versus 13s and i mistyped and said 13s would be stronger than 13s, or something like that.
imho the 12 group this season is not very strong. the 13 triumvirate of stars, scorps, eagles would all do very well at U14.
the four good teams at U12, stars, wu, fuller, scorps, would all have trouble playing in division 2.
meanwhile, at u11, stars and scorpions are both strong enough to do well enough to handle the blue division.
in other words the premise from the post at the start of this thread is off. I don't think the talent in this group is on par with the year older or year younger groups.

Re: 12s v 13s
I think you are mistaken. Although the perception is that the u12 group is weaker I believe it is in fact stronger as a whole.
The 11's have 2 strong teams - Stars and Scorps
The 13's have maybe 2.5 strong teams between Stars, Scorps and Eagles.
The 12's have 5 teams that are competing for the top spot - Stars, Scorps, WU, Fuller and Explosion. All with talented players.
My point is that in the 11 and 13 groups the talent is concentrated on 2/3 teams whereas the 12's talent is spread out.

Re: 12s v 13s
I think your wrong, each age group has different qualities and if we compare the 3 age groups, you can't . At u11 its a two horse race at u12 apart from the Stars(who are the only team who have been consistant) any of the top 4 can beat each other on any day and at u13 its still really up in the air. Again some of the u11 teams have players who are bigger than some of the players in the u12 and u13 age groups. To answer your u12/u13 question how come their is so many u12's in the u13 ODP pool? Stars u11 showed us last fall that physical size and athletic ability still defines games at the age span(u11-u13) Stars and Scorps u11 would struggle in Blue u12 just as any u12 team would in u13. This will level itself out by u14/u15 and the games then would be competitive if (a big if ) the coaches are coaching and developing the players to play the right way.
From what I see at the u12 age group, each of the top blue teams all have excellent players who may have the potential to be big time players. Speed/size and enthusiasm I just wonder if the players will gravitate to 2 or 3 clubs.
