They are very underrated in my opinion, and if they make state cup I can see them giving some teams trouble.
North Shore game you saw is when they lost 2-1 to an under 10 team...
playing up an age group.. Would agree a good team.. but not going to give any blue teams trouble, since they are struggling in green division.

put the rumor mill to bed BB

NEFC BB parents are you entered in the Andre Cup?

If not the seeding for the ANDRE CUP will change since the two teams playing up required KI to make special arrangements to accommodate these teams

I am not BB, but no, the team is not playing in the Andre Cup (as has been stated on here many times previously)

I know that has been said many times, and maybe some are repeating the info they heard that might not be correct. Was hoping a parent from BB team could confirm this so teams looking to qualify, that might not of qualified, Maybe One more team will get in.

          Thanks for the help

If they qualify for the Paul Irwin Cup, I don't think they will play in the Andre Cup.

They will have to play in a play down game to qualify for the RR. Not sure why they would even consider playing in the Irwin cup. There are at least 2 u12 NEFC teams that are better than them right now. Add to that they are leaving maple in the fall and there really is no incentive to play in this tournament.

In order to play in the Irwin Cup they have to be the best team? What kind of logic is that? If only the teams with a chance to win the whole thing participated there would be three teams playing in the tournament.

Maybe the incentive is that it makes no sense to return to 8v8 just to participate in the Andre Cup. Maybe the kids just want to play some games at the end of the season.

Nobody thinks they are going to win the Irwin Cup, but if they get into the round robin, good for them. If they manage to make the quarterfinals, even better. It's not as if the team is going to be so outmatched that they can't compete in the preliminary stages. They will probably get beat by a bigger/stronger team at some point along the way, but who really cares?

By the way, at least 8-10 of the 20 teams that qualify for the Irwin Cup will be leaving Maple, so I guess we should tell all of them not to play too.

I guess my point was a little misunderstood. I dont think any of the teams who are leaving maple should put one more penny in KI's pocket. Has nothing to do with how good they are. By your decision to leave you have let it be known you don't like the direction of maple why would you play in a tournament that has absolutely no consequence to your team. Btw my child's team is leaving so that's where I'm coming from

Don't let that MAPLE door hit you in the Butt on your way out.. See Yah !!

If your team is leaving then you have a seat on the board of NEP. Why would you put any money into your competition.

Nobody knows how NEP will work out. What is known and cannot be disputed is some of the very best clubs in the state are leaving maple to go to NEP.

Just speculation on my part, doesn't there have to be at least some temptation on the part of those leaving for NEP to prove that the "best" clubs/teams are in fact those that are leaving MAPLE?

These are not meant as predictions, but suppose Stars win KC Andre and NEFC wins Irwin. Wouldn't that make a statement?

Those clubs are widely assumed to be the best in their age group. They would have more to lose should those teams get upset in the tournament.
