It doesn't make sense for the team to switch to 11v11 and then come back to 8v8 just to play in the Andre Cup.

But they are switching back to 8v8. Isn't that what NEP plays at u12?

Top clubs throughout the state (Stars, Scorpions, NEFC, Bolts, etc...) have been sending their younger teams to major tournaments for years. Some of you people will just look for any reason to complain. If you don't want your kid attending those events, then don't have them play for one of those teams. It's as simple as that.

All of the clubs listed have sent U11 and U12 teams to PDA, WAGS, CASL, Disney, Delco, Jefferson Cup, Surf Cup and so on.................

I think you meant to type "aren't gifted with great size". At least I hope so. The team is not large by any means and they do not get by on size and/or strength.

NEP does suggest that U12's play 8v8, but like anything else exceptions are made. I wouldn't be surprised if JD's team does the same thing. There is nothing wrong with playing 11v11 at this age if the kids are ready for it. Every U11 team in MA played 11v11 until 2 years ago and at that time many U10 teams did as well. Teams from NY, NJ, PA, CA etc... are all playing 11v11 right now.

I am a believer in 8v8 for U12's, but I also believe that if a team is ready for the big field, they are ready. It doesn't matter how old they are.

11's playing in 13's division is stupid. one or two scrimmages/practices is one thing - but the size difference will be far too great. that NEFC team is good, but come on, they're NOT that good.

They will be U12's playing U13 in the fall. That's the beauty of time. It effects all of us equally.

The team will probably lose a lot of games because of the size difference, but who cares? As long as they play soccer the right way, what difference does it make? They'll be playing up one year just as they are now.

When they attend tournaments I am sure they will play their own age, so basically they'll play about 15 games in a calendar year as U12's vs U13's. Not a big deal as far as I'm concerned.

They will be U12's playing U13 in the fall. That's the beauty of time. It effects all of us equally.

They'll be fine it's NEP league that they are playing in no relegation, so they put them in bottom group, playing MPS, BOLTS, SEACOAST, LIGHTNING and they will still win 50% of games and continue to love the sport

And what do they do with those extra players on the roster when they go to 8v8 tournaments.. No sorry your daughter in number 16 17 18 so you are not eligible.

Which select team you have as number 4..
One Select team is playing u12 the other is a u10 team

I believe it is the U11 team playing U12.
