Because some consider the behavior of the Stars coach inappropriate and no longer willing to put up with it simply because the team is successful. It's about the "bigger picture".

What behavior? all I see is he either sits there and says nothing or looks like he's not interested in his team. Is there something within this group we don't know about?

Personally, I think there is and she stands quite a distance ahead of anyone else in this age group ... it is not a pressure thing, it just is. And more than a few people (qualified to evaluate talent) would agree.

I just think it is funny everyone thinks the top players are at the Stars. They have a hell of a team, don't get me wrong, but not ALL the top players play for GC/Stars, or (I know, I'll go to hell for even thinking this, much less say it) ...want to.....

And the idea that anyone other developmental (3rd) division players would, as we stand here today, consider going to the U13 Bolts is ludicrous IMHO, which is where this thread was going when the TOP U-13G player thing started.

Well I agree with some of your post, good response. I still do not agree that this player, whether identified by "qualified" evaluators or not, is that far above and beyond other players at this age group. Quite honestly, I don't think this is an amazingly strong age group and my child is included in that evaluation.

Back to the thread, I don't see how 5 strong players from Stars are going to leave for the greener pasture of FCGB. I am not sure if the MIT connection is true but certainly lines up with possibility. At the end of the day you can only make what you hope is the right decision for your child.

There are about 5-8 strong players in this age group who don't play for GC/Stars, but the key is "How would these players look with a stronger cast around them"
