Haven't seem him coach but, my opinion would be subjective any way ,as any one else's would .With that being said,the best way would be to go to one of his games.Go to the MAPLE website and click on Div 2 U15G. The season is still young

Well, this is a soccer forum, where people are free and even encouraged to discuss their subjective opinions. (Isn't that sort of the purpose of having an online forum?) I have seen plenty of such intelligent discussion in the past, but, sadly, not lately.

You're right,I should have worded my post differently.I meant if someone went to a game ,they could enlighten us all and we could have that intelligent discussion.Has any one actually seen him coach a game? I've read his bio. but that's all I know of him

See, I don't care if this particular team is winning or losing. I'd like to know how the new DOC is teaching the kids to play the game. How is their short passing game, what kind of formation do they use, do the kids tend to hold the ball or not, do they bring defenders up to attack, etc. But I like my weekends and I don't want to spend an entire Sunday afternoon finding these things out for myself; I'd rather someone give me the straight dope here.

You'd be better off watching a practice than a game to discern that.

In some respects maybe, but that's not going to happen. True, if a team is overmatched in a game, they will have trouble executing as they do in practice.

Why the big interest in the team and coach, but lack of willingness to go and watch? Watching a game or two and a practice will tell you little other than whether he is a screamer or a silent type. Maybe how he intereacts aand what he has to say - if you can hear him coaching - will tell you something, but really you need to view the team over some time to really judge him. I am really interested in knowing why you are so interested. Please share with us all.....

I'll try to make this simple. The Bolts DOC is the subject of this thread. He's new to the club and to Maple. He's the head coach at Wellesley and he is well credentialed. Now that his team has finally played a couple of games, I wanted to know how he likes his team to play, so I posted my question.

On the old forum that would have been all you needed to do. Usually, not always, you would get an intelligent response and maybe a discussion would follow. On this forum, by contrast, as soon as you post something, you get pointless responses from pissants. I am stubborn and dislike having pissants cover up my question, so I repeated it.

Now you come along and interpret my repeated questions as "big interest." Trust me, my interest is closer to idle curiosity.

I've seen FSM's forum referred to as the Boring Forum. This forum is the Idiotic Forum.

Here's a tip: push your chairs away from your desks, turn off your computers, lift your fat asses out of your chairs, and GO WATCH THE TEAM PLAY IF YOUR SO DAMNED CURIOUS ABOUT THEIR SHORT PASSING GAME, FORMATION, AND STYLE OF PLAY.
