U16s lost 8-1 to Western UNited who seem to be the real deal

Tough to say whether that result is due to Western being the "real" deal, or if Bolts are really that weak. I would say it is a combination of both. The Bolts were absolutely decimated this past spring, losing all of their top players, and this is a team that was relegated with those "top" players. Obviously Western U can put the ball in the net if they racked up 8 goals. I think we will all have a better understanding of where these teams are after a couple more weeks playing "known commodities".

The Bazooka champs played without their keeper yesterday, had a field player jump in. They lost 1-0 on a shot from 30 yards out, so I'd guess maybe that was a factor? Neither team played very well, it was a very even, kind of unmemorable game on both sides...but have the keeper there and it's at worst a tie.

I think it's also a bit of an inside joke, since when it was announced that they were going to that event instead of something like, say, the Scorp Bowl that weekend a few people trashed the level of play. They ended up winning, but hopefully the nickname "Bazooka Champs" is in fun and not mean spirited.

WU won again today, shutting out Puma 4-0. They look to be very strong.

15s and 16s lost again but the Bazooka champs won.

15s and 16s could be headed for relegation if they don't turn the ship around quickly.

Puma lost some of their strongest players from last years squad. 2-3 of them play with the Eagles now.

When they beat the Aztecs but were told that the Aztecs were missing their best players and WU had multiple guest players.

When they thumped FCGB, it was because all the best FCGB players left for the Eagles.

Now they beat Puma and it's because Puma's best players left for the Eagles.
