Sub regional participation is no indication of the strength of a club. Almost anyone can get in. Tidal Wave has had their U18 team in for a couple of seasons. They suck.

The poster who thinks subregional is only about politics and cannot understand why Maine and RI teams get to play while BOLTS have a prayer...... State Cup champions and runners-up have priority into the league over other teams, which means a number of RI and Maine teams get in. Agree they are for the most part weak, but they will have priority over a team like the BOLTS. Also I belive the top four teams are automatically accepted back if they apply. And btw - you may not like the Todal Waves - but they are ranked 297 in the country - not good enough on its own to qualify for subregional but they apparently are either a finalist or at worst a semi-finalist in RI State Cup. The Bolts are not even close to that national ranking - U15 at 339, U13 at 952! Not even close to getting into subregional......

If any of these clubs start letting parents make the decisions there will only be more unrest. That's why we all pay these ridiculous fees and not to have decisions made by parents.

The U15s lost 4-0 to Pioneers. Unfortunately, they have to go back to Ludlow on Saturday and play Pioneers in the State Cup.
Wonder if the new Bolts DOC ever thought he was going to go winless in Maple (barring a miracle) with his first Bolts team--and probably not even score a goal in the process. Wonder if he'll coach the the same team next year in D3. If there's a team, that is.

Good questions but the DOC can only work with the players who showed up at tryouts. This is mostly the fault of the previous regime.

True! True! It's all about development NOT winning (and the Bolts aren't doing a lot of winning). Let's hope there's a lot of development happening in Bolts land.
