The Bolts have had access to very good coaching over the years. T.Kerr being one of them. Unfortunately, it's difficult to be committed to a team as coach and also cover the director position. It's probably more do-able if the Director coaches a younger team with less demands. T.Kerr was coaching a national level team with all the demands and commitments that go along. That probably short changed her director responsibilities.
What horse manure! Then how the hell do people like Dewhurst and Marks manage? T Kerr was only the girls director. These men are managing their whole clubs and I can bet they know the names of every kid in their club.

Dewhurts and Marks have their own set of strengths and faults but I do believe that the Bolts poster went overboard in making excuses for a club that clearly does not support its girls program.

Nicky Wood will be taking over Tracy's team, which is the jewel of the Bolts girls program, and will not have director responsibilities. That means Tony and Jessica Pfeifer should be able to provide more dedicated oversight.
You poor deluded person. This apologist nonsense is exactly what got Bolts into the mess they are in with the girls. Open your eyes. Now they even have two supposed girls program directors and it's still in the sh*itter! Someone needs to get off their butt and actually do something for these girls.

They just need to produce another powerhouse team like their U19's to attract girls back to the program again. It may take a few years and some recruiting.

"Nicky Wood will be taking over Tracy's team, which is the jewel of the Bolts girls program, and will not have director responsibilities. That means Tony and Jessica Pfeifer should be able to provide more dedicated oversight."

Nicky Wood is coaching the U18 girls, which last year were U17 and went 2-5, faced relegation. All but a few came back with her named coach and a few of Tracy's girls who were playing up last year joined the roster. But the test here will be how the team does with the same roster, new coach. Seemed to be a decision by Mohammed to put her with that team with hopes of keeping them together. She is also coaching U19s according to the website, but given how many of Tracy's girls are D1 playing on scholarship, who knows how many will get the needed waiver to play club. It is pretty much up to the college coach to decide.

Tony has his work cut out for him, but since it took 4-5 years for the girls' side to fall apart, its fair to expect it will take at least that long to repair and rebuild. Question stands: will paying parents wait? Also, in terms of cost, one change parents were made aware of this year is that things that used to cost extra are now included in team fees - goalie training, striker clinics, technical sessions, all in addition to weekly practices with coaches.

With both an older daughter and younger in this club, we're hopeful things look up soon and also selfish in feeling comfortable that as long as both of our daughters are happy and getting good coaching we don't really care what the overall status of the Bolts girls side is.

It didn't take 4-5 years for the girls side to fall apart. It took no more than 12 months. It happened very fast. The Bolts reputation on the girls side is in tatters. Rebuilding the program will likely take years, but eliminating those extra costs is a good beginning. Concentrating on the younger players coming up would be another good place to begin.

Will there be a U15 or U16 Bolts team this spring?

I understand there will be a Girls u15 team. I do not know about the 16s.

The first time, yes. But not the umpteenth time. Same with the question whether the Bolts will field U15 and U16 teams in the spring. It's the same idiot troll.

The Bolts U16 coach is attending the Scorp Bowl but her team is not. This seems like a potential disadvantage to having a college coach as a club coach. Can/should a coach go to a tournament to scout and have their team playing in the tournament at the same time?

They can and do all the time. They also network with other college coaches and find possibilities for their players.
