Both Western Mass teams played very well. Each team dominated at different times of the game. Didn't see any outstanding players on either team, which is nice when it is a team effort. Great game to watch.

Did the Western parents get together after the game and agree to all come here and post? The match was a 0-0 draw. I have watched over 5,000 matches between playing coaching and officiating, and can't recall a 0-0 match where one team totally dominated. That being said, the standings tell a completely different story. Results matter much more than Mom and Dad posting their biased opinions of the match.I am sure you outplayed them, but you still sit 4 points behind them and 3-4 places lower in the table. I hope you overtake them, but for now, I wouldn't be bragging too much.

Although effort and intensity was good, the technical standard on display was very poor. Both teams simply kicked the ball and hoped to chase it down and create something with pace and power.

Western dominated the early exchanges but that momentum soon drifted to an end without any penetration. Pioneers then went close with a free kick and that was that in terms of chances.

There is no doubt that both teams are talented but somewhat surprisingly, neither coach wanted to try an alternate approach which reulted in a scrappy stalemate between the Western Mass rivals.

We will see how good Pioneers are in next couple of weeks they have had easy end of schedule so far , tuff games are coming , standings will change drastically over next couple of weeks , western has had tuff schedule so far, NEFC-B will come out of no where to end up in top 3 or 4 ,Toss up between NEFC-z Or Stars for 1rst. Other than that alot of close games in U-12 g-blue , no super blow-outs , hats of to all players on all teams lots of close games and talent

I agree about 2 defenders, but no #4 stood out to me on Western. There was a tall girl in the middle that was very aggressive, had good foot skills and was getting through 3 Pioneer girls at a time, that was impressive!

I think the blonde girl was good from the Pioneers, but didn't bring her A game as I've seen her play in the past. Also, the Pioneers goalie had to work a lot more than the Western goalie.

I was not at this match but I do know exactly who #4 is, she was a game changer against our team (among others) at Stars Cup. We have played against both teams and there are a few talented players on each. If any of those standout players really want a shot at making it in the future, they will need to jump ship soon. The technical standards in the west are simply mediocre.

Initials for any of these standouts? Do any of them play ODP?

What needs to happen is combine about 5 Pioneers girls with 10 or 11 of those Western girls and they will blow through every team in that division. But that will never happen, and it's unfortunate because Western Mass is small.

Was at game yesterday. To watch the Pioneers players just kick the ball down the field, kick the ball out of bounds for no reason and to just kick it wherever was just terrible to watch. And to think they practice all the time..must just be great coaching

A shame Western did not come out on top, but they just can't finish

Western only needs the blonde girl from Pioneers...there isn't much talent besides that..unless you want to transform your team into a kick & run team

Yes they won the lower bracket and since then its been a disappointing season, drawing games they could and should of won. They can't seem to score enough even with the 2 players from FC Mass who I'm told scored a lot for them last year. They are good, but not yet ready for the top 3.

I am sure you enjoyed hearing the Pioneers coach yell and scream. Wasn't there, but that is usually my favorite part of their matches. Their B team coach is even more entertaining.

Those 2 players came from Soccer Domain, look what division they were in, Orange. I'm sure they looked like superstars! You cannot compare the Blue with the orange division, sorry! We will see where Western ends up once they play some weaker teams going forward.

Everyone thinks BB's team will be last- I wouldn't discount them just yet either.

Stars are definitely the best team in this division, but we shall see once they play the Pride who ends up on top.

Still can't understand why parents keep their kids there, they've been together how long and still just KICK, KICK, KICK and sometimes to noone.
