true story.....

ball was crossed into box, defender caught ball (young girl, inexperienced soccer player, made a mistake). Young referee called a penalty, experienced assistant flagged for young Ref, she obliged, had a word in ear and young referee sent young girl off.
Now the young girl was already crying as she had handled the ball, given away a penalty and was embarrased, she now has been sent off. What would you do in this situation?
Me personally, at U12, penalty given, little word to player

Now here is where it gets fun, BW coach is upset by the young refs decision and voices his opinion (cant blame him, girls are U12 they will make silly mistakes), yes he should be setting an example but none of us are angles (put yourself in his shoes).
So hes upset with the young referee and the experinced assistant who forced the young referee to give a penalty now forces her to send the coach off.

Sounds like some ref crews I've seen in the Fall River/New Bedford area. Eerily similar.

unfortunately, and no proof can be given, but some ref's don't like some coaches or clubs and I feel that sometimes their judgement can be clouded due to these feelings.....

In the MAPLE standings, does the column "EJ" refer to game ejections? If so, why? Is there a team penalty incurred if a certain number of ejections is exceeded?
