No one cares except the original poster who keeps bumping the topic. (I only respond because it's already at the top of the thread list). Talk about posting a topic specifically about one kid, geez, get a life.

      This can't be true.
Is this from the Cape team or the Boston team?
      The Boston team.

Don't beat up a kid for wanting to play at her age group on a high profile team. Geez, she'll go to Las Vegas, and CASL and Disney (In front of 20 college coaches as another poster pointed out during the tourney) and probably contend for a National championship. What's wrong with that?

No one has beat up on this kid and many who knew the answer to the question were ignoring this post and the "bumps".

It was great to see the self restraint and the lack of player/club bashing. :D

If she is a backup keeper ,how will she get noticed by scouts on the bench?

Excuse me but the subject is club jumping.Im not looking to rip either player or clubs involved. Its not a hard question. How is moving from what I assume is a starting job at one club to a back up role at another going to get a kid more looks?

Is it me or does this current line of thread have a sense of protection about it? As the last poster stated how can this player be seen riding the bench, or is it a move to replace the current keeper? Again there seems to be "radio silence alert" put out on this question, why?

More exposure and college coaches follow the new team. Many coaches learn as much from warmups as they do game action. You're assuming she won't play. What if she's promised playing time.

This is a very competitive team. Competition for places in every position is very high, this is no difference with the GK situation now. I don't beleive this is any secret it is how it is on high level teams. Every player on this team is probably pushed to the hilt by their team mates as they all want to play. With this they continually improve. This is now how it will be with the GKs. So no secret just more competition for the GK place. A team of this level should have 2 GKs on the roster anyway. They where lucky to go as far as they did last year without the GK getting injured. So signing of another GK is really no suprise. Of what I know of this coach each player has to perform consistantly in practice and games to play on this team, I am sure this will be the same for the GKs.

In the games I've watched, all the players on this team have played meaningful minutes. Perhaps in some of the bigger games at tournaments or premier league Stars had players sitting for most /all of the game, but even at state cup the non-starters had a chunk of time in the middle of the finals. I was surprised at how much each player played and at how small or non-existent the "dropoff" was. Perhaps that will change this year, but based on what I've seen there is no reason to assume that this is an either or situation for the two keepers. It doesn't seem to be this coach's style to train a player to spend whole games on the bench.

If you go to one of this teams practices you will see how competitive it is. This is an enviroment that players improve, the players expectations of each other are high and you can see it in the practices. This comes from very high expectations from the coach. Before anyone starts no I am not a parent on this team but I have seen them train when my daughters team has been training at the same facility.
