The player from Black Watch must be a pretty good player to be getting so much attention. And I'm sure #18 for the Stars is a pretty good U12 player also. I'm sure Western, the Scorpions, Fuller...all have a player or two that are very good U12 players.
I'm just not sure where the discussion goes from here?
Can you be "the best player in MA" without being with the best club or team in MA? Would any club ever admit that the "best player" trains and plays with another club?
Another sensible post. Sometimes there is hope for this forum
How do parents objectively determine who is "the best U12" player in MA? If its only seeing this player on the field for one game and/or tournament, and then coming away with an opionion, I don't know if you're getting the entire picture.
Let's take a player who is athletic, posesses all the physical skills and tools to be an excellent player and just led her team to a State/Regional championship...i.e., choose any of the players that are listed in this thread.
If this player is difficult to coach, habitually is a no-show at practice, is disliked by the other players on her team and isn't committed to the game, her coach and/or team...is she still the best player in MA.
I don' have a U12 girls playing soccer. However, in reading this thread (if everyone is being honest), it looks like we can expect great things from this group as they grow and mature. Who knows...maybe the 10th rated player in the state may even move up and over take some of her rivals.

As of right now,
Stars have 9 top players
Western have 5
Fuller has 3
Scorpians have 3
Puma have 2
Explosion have 1
Blackwatch has 2
Berkshire has 1
This kind of mirror's the division table and is an indicator of where the balance of power is as of today(with the exception of BW). Its all about the rest of the players on each roster, on some teams there is a major drop of when substitions are made and this has a huge impact on results at this age. Also some starting 11's are stronger than others. Each team has stand out players for their age but to consistantly compete you need a solid roster. Each team is capable of beating each other, but if Stars start to lose some games that would be classed as a shock but if WU/Fuller/Scorps lose to each other it wouldn't be. Thats the recent history. So it doesn't matter who is the best individual because individuals can win games but sometimes they can't handle having to carry a team every week.

You also must have seen the Elite SA and Granite teams that much. From your analysis and the absence of reference, I assume that neither of these teams has even one player of note.

But I need to know who is the best player, I can't sleep at night thinking that there might be a better player out there THAN MY CHILD

9 top players on the Stars? You wouldn't happen to be a Stars parent would you? If so, then perhaps you can tell me how many players currently on the #1 Nationally Ranked Stars United team were on the roster at U12.
