I have found that as team's age, their midfielders get larger and defenders get smaller. This is obviously a huge over-generalization. However, don't be shocked when you see some of the strongest players moving through the middle. Second, you will soon discover a thing I like to call players who play bigger than they are. This is when you watch a game and think a particular girl is an absolute beast on the field, only to meet her off the field and discover she is 5'5" / 125 pounds.
Lets get this straight ALL of the teams have girls viewed as big for their age. The biggest single players play for WU and Scorps. Stars have a number of bigger girls that make them seem as a big team. WU/Scorps/Explosion and Stars have some of the smallest players but I'd say Puma is the biggest overall team.

Actually the WU U12 ODP players are the smallest (height and weight) of the team. The "large for her age" player (the one everyone is talking about playing up) does not play ODP.

So, are you saying, "size doesn't matter"?
Size is just another attribute. If you have 18 big players you may get run into the ground. If you have 18 tiny quick players you may get run over, its about balance.
Additionally, the kids we are talking about are not big thugs with no ability, we are talking about pretty good soccer players regardless of their size.

The player on WU everyone is referring to is big for the age group. She's one of those players who has already grown and is an average player at best. In a year or two she will be the same size as the other players.

WHINEY WHINEY WHINEY, The WU parents didn't complain when they beat everyone at the younger age groups, now they are being caught and passed by some teams they do like it.
