One of the all time best posts on this forum ever. Applies to almost every thread at one time or another as well. Really, let's all discuss for 5 more pages what exactly is our personal thoughts about NEFC And State Cups. I never should have gone onto this thread honestly! Who cares!

U17 NEFC is a drastically improved team over last years State Cup team. While I am sure SF Vikings will give them a good game, I do not beilive they have the depth to hold off NEFC. NEFC picked up 5 solid players, including the best player from last years SF Vikings team.

You can only play so many players. NEFC won't be that much better, and other teams picked up very good players. Vikings are last year's phenomenon. A non-factor now.

Are there any fall tournament results that give an early indication of the group for the spring?

VERY difficult to measure fall tournaments into meaningul spring insights. Especially U13/U14. This is not meant to be critical but its not really worth discussing. Too many variables come into play.

The Vikings did not lose their best player, and they picked up the Stars best player along with a very good player from Seacoast. None of coach R's core group left. The two players that I think people are referring to have switched Clubs more times than anyone on record. As far as being a phenomenon, you might want to check the history of this team before you post. I can't wait to see the big dogs ass get bitten.

You picked up the Stars' best player who went to the Revs? Wow!

None of the core group left, you mean, except for the 4-5 players from the Bolts who made the team as good as it was?

I know the prior history of the team. Middle of the road at best.

Looks like one of the big dogs parents might be a little nervous about the competition this Spring. Don't worry about The Vikings, they are just over achievers.

A story in itself. Won at u11 & 12 with Inter. Then wanted more? What would that be ? Then what happened with the Bolts? now the vikings. the end of the story???
