Yes that is what is said after players leave voluntarilly. And some of the posters attack the players that are gone or if the player is sufficiently high profile they complain that the
player left in the middle of the season. It's a pattern.

no surprise to anybody that it will be scorpions. stars trash is scorpion's treasure. scorpions are getting worse by all accounts. stars getting better. that has to be a coincidence.

Player has helped our team. Excellent player and nice kid. My daughter really likes her. I'm sure the 14s are fine as well. You seem troubled to be attacking 13 and 14 year olds.

Everybody has to figure out what's best for themselves and go for it. If there is another player leaving for another club, more power to them. Stars 14s just recruited a great player, and unlike a lot of teams have the depth that the addition or subtraction of a player or two won't change their game too much.

I take exception to whoever posted that Stars trash is someone elses treasure. First these are kids and that poster is an ass. They are impact players. Unlike Stars, the addition of some of these players to a couple of very good D1 teams can greatly improve a team's average skill level. Stars have great training and a lot of these kids were strong in their own right before coming to Stars.

Neither girl worked for GC's team. Both unhappy. So both left. Big deal. Team is better with absences. They are hopefully happier where they have gone. End of story.

Big deal is right. The team gets better and better and this age is no longer competitive with Stars clearly superior to the other clubs. And I am not with Stars.

This team is trying to play at regional and national level. Best of luck to the girls who want to try to achieve this.

JD moved a player from the U14 team to the U16 team?

                      Totally agree.

Team is about the team rather than individuals, and from what I've seen the team is just fine.

For the individuals, everyone needs to find what makes them happy and go for it, and nothing works for everyone.

Now granted, MPS and Seacoast are not exactly known as powerhouse goal scoring teams but the Patriots had put a total of 6 goals past Fuller/Explosion/Scorpions prior to getting shut out by the Stars in the finals.

Any way you look at it, the Stars are one of the top teams in the region and for the other U14G teams in New England, the represent the yard stick to measure yourself against.
                        This is my post.

Stars are a good team, but its not the team or situation that anyone or everyone need aspire to. I expect them to do well, and I know they have great training and very strong kids. It's almost a little sad that they are so stacked because any little mis-step is viewed as a big failure, and these are just 13 and 14 year olds who get to screw up once in a while.
I would like to clarify, because I agree with the sentiment in this quote directly above.

The Stars experience, even with a different coach, is not for everyone. Not every girl wants to give up other sports, practice 3 days per week practically year round and not every parent wants to pay for it all. And not every kid is going to thrive under such pressure. For those who choose to do it and like it, its fine. Most girls and parents, even if they have the talent and the money, would not thrive under these circumstances.

When I spoke of the Stars as a yardstick, I wasn't talking about the experience or the coaching, I was talking about the level of soccer, period.

I am with the Stars, but an older team. I can't believe the garbage I'm reading in this thread. Personally, I think JD is managing the club and the club's players very well. Not everyone may agree with the decisions he makes, but I think he's done a pretty good job of trying to balance the success of the club and provide a quality experience for all the kids playing for the Stars no matter what the level. Some kids aren't going to mesh with some coaches. It's no different than what adults find out in the real world when you enter the work force, but it's pretty obvious that the Stars are now providing some quality options within the club itself. It's too bad some parents aren't willing to give it a shot to see if it works out for them, but it's also too bad that some current Stars parents feel the need to insult the kids who move on to other clubs. Show some class, will you, and just zip it.

You can call me Greg, but if you are going to make up a name for me I prefer Alice. Trevor, Francis, or Hannibal work for me as well.
