4 + hour drive TO the game which means another 4 on the way home. Sounds like a tank of gas for each game. Maybe $50 for each. $200 a month for 4 games.

If you find the level of competition acceptable, then the travel of 8 hrs plus cost is not a problem. Other then you can stay in Mass and play the same level of competition without the travel or cost. The question is sub-regional worth the time and expense for the competition?

My daughter's team has great chemistry and will get wiped out by these guys.
14s seem like the team >> SOME OF << the best in the state want to play. The issue for everyone else is that the rest are spread out among a number of teams. If you took a combination of Scorps, WU, MPS, Exp, BWP, and others best players and made a single team out of them (maybe 2) and gave them superior coaching without the drama class of GC's, I am not so sure the Stars team would be either, the best team or the one the best would want to be playing for.

Maybe we could call the team the Studs of NE...

Right now they have a critical mass of talent and should be a regional powerhose 2nd only to the NJ teams...But can they keep all of the players and parents happy with playing time and the coaching environment that team has always had...

Hey face facts, reality is that no Stars team is happy. Players don't like each other. Players don't like their coaches. They are a disfunctional group that stay together out of fear of leaving. They comply with the ridiculous policies for fear of being replaced.

True of one of the coaches' teams - but not others.

The only exception I know of is the U17 lunch pail gang.

Well it's pretty clear you're not part of Stars or you would know of others. Just love how people come on here and dump on teams and kids without knowing anythin

Playing for a high level squad is competitive. Players come from all over the state, and even from out of state to play on these destination teams. As the teams shake out after U13 or so, rarely is there more than a couple kids from the same town. Expectations are high. Yet, the successful players enjoy and thrive in this environment. They make friends, travel together, and share memories that will last until they are old and senile like their parents posting here on T-S. My daughter found college much less friendly, and the players much more competitive, often without the skills to back them up, than her Club team. She ranks her experiences, Club, HS and then college.

What level college team did your daughter play for?

You could not be more wrong, you obviously know nothing about the club. Do you really think the players on teams like U16 United and U17 United do not like JD. Or players on DB teams do not like him. You are so far off base. You are basing your statement on one team and one coach. You are full of sh%t, also what are the ridiculous policies you talk about. My kid plays for Stars and she plays HS, played ODP but does not want to anymore and that is our choice. She and her team mates are very very close and I can tell you they love the coach.

One of the most ridiculous posts I have read of this forum. You obviously know nothing and are one jealous parent.

Agree completely - we've had the same experience. When a Stars team loses the word here is they are not getting along or hate the coach or are full of themselves or complacent or whatever.

When another team loses it is because they had bad luck, they're missing the player or couple of players the their team is formed around (many of those). If you watch players leaving teams you'll see it is other clubs who can handle their "star" players or the effect their "star" players have on the rest of the team (every loss or win is credited to that player). What does that tell you?

D1. Sorry. I'd rather not add much more info, else the bashing will begin.

I understand completely. My daughter ran into some nastiness while being recruited. She actually avoided a couple of teams because of players already there. I know other parents have said the same thing.
