stop talking out of your ass. Please enlighten us why any players from the Stars U17 United would have moved to Scorpions U17. If that was going to happen it would have done after the last 2 years state cup final wins for Scorps and guess what they have not

I would agree with this post as his shenanigans are well known. But at some point it does reflect on the stars club. Good players do go there but many will stay away esp if he is the coach. There is not much competition at the 18 level and now they all will graduate. Will he get as lucky with this age group remains to be seen.

Without that player who moved from Scorpions to the U18 team and now the U17 team, the Stars would not have been as strong and those players would have moved earlier.

P.S. Who gives a crap about State Cup - one should look at the teams for the whole season.

what do you mean those players would have moved earlier. No one has moved for you information. Apart from one player who hardly played for Stars and now hardly plays for Scorpions. Again for your information that one player does not make then team and who is to say they would not of had the same success without her. The team went to nationals at U14 without her

You are joking right?? One player?? Have you ever seen Stars United U17 play, they are a lot stronger than just one player. Always will be and always have been. I also do not know of any players who have left to go to Scorps, so not sure why you say they would have moved earlier

I don't think that 18's stars would have been as successful. They have been unchallenged really and haven't had great success in region 1 or beyond.

Playing in sub-regional will give the Wetern parents the opportunity to spend a good amount of time and money playing mediocre teams. If all goes well it may give them a chance at what they want next year.

It became the only destination team.

I have never figured out why people say "spend time and money" when referring to the subregional league. Time I get, as typically there is a 4 plus hour drive to the games. Money? Gas money? It's not significant. Fees? At least my club doesn't charge for them. Why do people think it costs so much money?

You can generalize your question way beyond the subregional league. Why do people have to put down the choices or accomplishments of others ?

The people who post such things are basically insecure. Too much of their ego is tied up in what they perceive their kids' accomplishments to be.

If parents and kids have the time and resources to travel whether its in a league or in a tournament, whose to say its a waste ? Where does one draw the line ? Is the premier league a waste ? Jefferson Cup ? At what age ? For which team ?

At the end of the day, its a safe bet that none of these U14 girls will still be playing competitive soccer in another 10 years. Whether they played in MAPLE division 2, Region 1 or Jeff Cup this Spring means absolutely nothing in the long term.

You are so correct. However I must say getting good competition at young age did help in the development of many of the girls on my daughter's team and did cause many to drop out along the journey as well as they just could not keep up with the stronger girls' development.

a good number of them will be playing D1 college soccer over the next 5 years though as well.

Another question worth considering. Will the stars club administrators watch while he drives another group into the ground and then take the 13s from him? I don't see them letting that group suffer the same fate.

Interesting. 14s seem like the team the best in the state want to play for. Will likely win SC, and I expect them to have a very successful spring. The kids play well together, and while they lost games in the fall, so what? Because the 14s just picked up a very strong player do you think that weakens the team's position? My daughter's team has great chemistry and will get wiped out by these guys.
