Anything less than an undefeated MAPLE season, SC Champs, and Reg champs should be considerd a failure by this Stars team. They will have a good showing at Nationals but are still 1-2 players away maybe from winning it. They are that good now and perhaps better than any team that has ever compete at U14 coming ot of Mass. Enjoy the thrill ride ladies and gentelmen.

Yes agree anything less would be disappointment. But I think they will drop one or two games in Maple, As for SC I wouldn't count my eggs before they hatch. The rest will see after the SC. For there are still movement going on as of right now.
But your right enjoy the ride, it only last so long than it has to come back.

I completely understand the comment above.

However, you need to consider the league your child is playing.

In Region 1 League competition, players travel out of state, and in many instances are playing two games the same day. The competition is very good and there is often very little rest between these games. In the spring, a 70-75 degrees can be very warm for the players. Small rosters AND/OR the lack of high level players coming in off the sidelines will lead to poor performaces, injuries...poor results.

You say "sit" which may apply to the league your girls are playing in...I say "rest and recovery" which will lead to "good results" in the regional league and, in general, high-level tournaments.

Lots of talented players on many teams. This season will probably change the dynamic of a lot of teams. The Stars better do well or the next couple of years will be very rough for them. I'm pulling for the smaller clubs like Explosion and Western, who have lots of talent they developed on their own.

Knowing many of the Stars parents I don't think they'll take the "rest and recovery" well. Especially since their kid is the best in the world.

Why are you putting all the teams in a postion the fail. Games will be played, teams will win, lose and tie, players and coaches will move. Either by choice or design. If any of these teams fail will you get some kind of "sick" satisfaction? Sad, lonely individual. Why is it 1 day you knock teams and players and the next proclaim them as the best teams every to come from Ma. You don't know your history.
Before its too late do someting with your life. Whether you child was over looked, cut or the strong players left your daughters team, if you don't like the club or the coach or the other teams parents grow up, grow a pair and address the problem in person.
I'm looking forward to a competitive spring season, there hasn't been 1 in this age group for a while so its going to be exciting

However, you keep writing those checks so at U-16-17 when it matters the team will be in all the top tournaments so my kid will be showcased. I'd like to say it isn't true but everyone knows who the top players in the age group are and the reality is that most of them do not play for the Stars. I do think they have a few great players and the newest additions will definently help, but the rest are average.
So what happen, did your daughter get cut at tryouts or was she just so talented that she was not recruited.

Is this really your answer for everything?

Stars has a few of them. Other teams have a couple here and a few there. Stars parents need to be mindful that if other strong players migrate, there may no longer be a spot for their daughter on this team they cherish so much. Same is true for the other top club, i.e. Scorpions. That is why you should not place so much emphasis on having your child on the top club. In reality, your daughter may be better suited (someday) for a different team. But to the over involved, it will be a let down and unenjoyable experience when it should be a continuing enjoyable experience for your daughter.

With the new addition on Stars, that team now has a grand total of one player that is likely division 1 material in college. That is the reality so learn to enjoy something other than obsessing over your daughter's chances as a team and just enjoy watching your daughter. Many of us who have been around these parts for many years have figured this out. Learn from us.
