There comes a time when most players need to hear a new voice.

Wasn't this the same coach at SC semi last year, screaming for WU players to be carded or sent off everytime they challenged for the ball.

Since the Scorps coach was mentioned, why did he leave Inter mid-season ?
Hate the slagging off of another club that has nothing to do with this part of the discussion. Actually at this age MPS has one of its top 4-5 coaches coaching this age group. LB is fantastic and will do wonders with this group of talented girls. Overall btw MPS has the best collection of coaches in the state. Their premier team coaches, both girls and boys sides are fantastic.

An "average" coach who has his USSF A License? Way above average from my experience.

This is a u14 thread. If you want to discuss the u13 Scorps, go someplace else!

Not true of course. MPS tells people that they have a high quality coaching staff, but where I come from when you can't develop strong players, there is something wrong somewhere.

When MPS starts developing strong players, we can discuss how strong their staff is.

Until then it remains marketing, that's what the M has always stood for. Marketing Premier soccer, not actual Premier soccer.

You sound like you really know the talent pool, both in terms of coaches and players. Please be so kind as to inform the rest of us which clubs are really developing strong players as opposed to picking up players that a different club/coach actually developed?

Lavner is the best of the coaches

Just look at the downturn in the towns that have MPS employed in their youth schemes. Towns like Natick and Newton used to have good youth soccer, now their players are just not as good.

A player like Casey Brown who went to Bolts/Scorpions and now has been drafted by the Breakers would have been mired in the dreadful MPS youth programs and never reached her potential today.

The only excellent coaches are the likes of Stars with Dewhurst and Baker developing strong youth players, Marks with Scorpions, and the two clowns who left Scorpions at NEFC, bad form but good coaches. I also think Chris Hamblin is an excellent coach at NEFC and will do wonders with his groups now that he's more involved there and less involved at BC.

The MPS guys are part of the crowd, they are not leaders. They are okay coaches, with zero track record of raising the level of their kids.

This post makes zero sense. Casey Brown used to play for MPS and then moved elsewhere. So your assertion is that MPS didn't develop her as a player?

Further, you are suggesting that the players in/from Natick & Newton are not as good as they once were? You must have a LOT of time on your hands to follow where ALL the kids from those 2 towns now are.

I think your depends might need changing, or at the very least get a larger size. Those are constricting the bloodflow at your brain.
