Here's a dose of reality for you Stars parents! The top 9-10 kids in the age group don't even play for the Stars and the Stars could be much better than they are if they had them. You should learn to accept what you are, which is a solid team with good players who play good team soccer and can compete at a high level. There is nothing wrong with that. However, you do not have strong individual players that are game changers like Western, Blackwatch, or Explosion. The funny thing about it though, I've never heard of a team as a whole receiving a college soccer scholarship because they always go to the individuals....hmmmm.

If I'm a Stars or Scorpions parent I'm very nervous about tryouts this year. Usually U-15 brings about many changes with lots of player movement and I predict this year will be no different. I predict the Stars will drop/add 6-7 new girls while the Scorpions (who now play R1) will have a completely different team with a drop/add of 10-11 girls. I could be wrong but I think the numbers are very realistic.

Like every year there will be some attrition but not what has been reported. Geographical barriers still exist - with the exception of Western. Those folks will have no choice but to drive long distances to get away from that sinking ship. Otherwise, I would say look for a couple of players to move around but nowhere near 16-18 girls
