Do you really think the earlier poster would someone place a target on their team and name them? Everyone complains about "development", and then a coach plays everyone at a showcase tournament, presumably so they can get better and be seen by college coaches, and people criticize him. Didn't U17 United do well in Texas? Posters here are crazy sometimes.

While the Stars are much more of a true club in the sense of having a central coaching philosophy and some interteam commaraderie, there is a basic truism in youth soccer.

It all about the coach.

Trashing the Stars as an organization is usually driven by jealousy.

Trashing an individual coach is usually driven by experience.

Yes. For both MAPLE and R1PL.

In order to add players, Stars would need to convince a player to leave (unless there are non-rostered players with injuries).

My daughter has played with a top Stars team for a number of years. The starting team changes regularly, and everbody sees the field in every game. She has probably started 30% of the games, and still gets plenty of interest from college coaches. A few kids have left, but these were personal family choices, rather than soccer driven. Outsiders can trash Stars all they want, but most of us insiders are pretty happy.

Not United 17s as kids have definitely been cut in the past.

mansfield sportsplex and i am an outside source. My daughar and son both play futsal around the same time as the U14 explosion girls have their games, and i have seen them play and they are extremly good and fun to watch.

Explosion had 1 team and didn't look very good. They were missing 2 key palyers. Scorpions had some guest players and had the most teams. Delta didn't look good _ they look much better playing boarded indoor. Inter had one strong team. Good day for a good cause.
