Your'e probably the same poster who said NEFC would never get into Disney. I happen to have seen all these teams play,and the Rovers are closer in ability and talent to NEFC/Aztec than United or Scorpions. When, I repeat ,when, have the Rovers ever beaten United? Never. How many goals did Rovers score against United in State cup. Answer 0. NEFC at least scored. Twice. So while Rovers may have a strong defensive minded team, they cannot score, and therefore will not win given that fact. The Rovers are #3 in MA, and that's great. But that's it. I actually enjoy reading some of this crap, as it makes me realize how maniacal parents can be. It reminds me to "enjoy the ride", and not be so obsessive about it all. It will all be over soon for most of us, and I would hate to think I was one of you! I'll enjoy my daughters last year of club, watching her grow, having fun. What will you do?

Unless they've changed -which is a possibility- NEFC is not nearly as good as Rovers.

No this year they will be training outside of Raleigh so Anson can stop by and recruit.

Like I said, I am not affiliated with any of these teams, I'm just tired of all the threads being hijacked by the Rovers parents. Good luck to all the kids this year and at CASL, which is what this thread was supposed to be about in the first place!

Yeah, right. Your not with any of the team. You just are annoyed by rovers parents who hijack the threads. Except it wasn't Rovers parents who hijacked the thread.

BTW the scores are easily found by anyone who can use a computer.

241 is the Puma team, now called NEFC Elite on GS.

So how did NEFC against the Scorpions? How'd they do against PDA, Syosset, Spirit or Montclair?

According to GS the SC score against the Scorpions was 3-1. NEFC has never played any of the other teams.

Who picked the divisions? Rovers in top bracket over PDA, BRYC Azul, Pontre Verda, etc...

FYI BRYC Azul is a lower GS ranked team then NEFC.

I also saw some action from the United U17/Rovers game on the 'way out' and it appears that although the Rovers play well in the middle and defensively (often 'pack it in') they really had NO OFFENSIVE threats. They'll need to address this if they're to win at CASL.

How does a team playing a 4-3-3 "pack it in"?

I wasn't there for this epic match but I've heard that the Rovers have had several scrimmages this fall and have yet to score a goal. Not sure who the competition has been but offense appears to be a continuing problem for them.

Up to this point there hasn't been much written about the Rovers beyond these posts. Other concerned HB, SM and the Swedish player.

Please!!! Start your own Stars thread. I am so sick and tired of the "Lunch Pail Gang" as if they are the only team who works hard. What's up? HS season over ? Time to live vicariously through your kids again? This thread was intended to reference CASL. Get over yourselves. You are an embarrassment to youth sports! You are the problem!

And up until that point, any of the information given could have been just as likely from United parents as Rovers parents as far as anyone can tell.

Interesting that the 'unaffiliated' 'outsider' knows so much about the Rovers 'impact' and 'role' players and whether they were there or not considering the poster is basing it on hearsay.

That's not what I heard. All the Rovers high impact players were there. Some lesser role players were missing.

Given the Rovers stumblings, NEFC may now be poised to become the #3 team in Mass.

NEFC aint getting by United but could very well move ahead of the Rovers.

This is based on scrimmages during the high school season???

If this is an accurate assessment, the Rovers are going to be in over their heads at CASL. Has the potential to be ugly.

Just for the record Rovers will play Syosset (MM rating 1792, 168 points higher than Rovers), the Bethesda Dragons (MM rating 1743, 119 pts higher) and CASL Elite (MM rating 1584, 40 points less). Rovers are 2-0-1 against Syosset, but have never played the other two.

Funny how ratings/rankings don't show that. But if that's what you want to believe, then I think you might qualify as a maniacal parent.
