All the Elite groups in this showcase are equal.

        Let the Rovers bashing begin.

The Lunch Pail Gang gets no respect. They trudge to the mines, lunchbox in hand, hard hats cinched tight, and grind out wins regardless.

Have they had any personnel changes this year? Saw them for a bit on Sunday afternoon and they looked pretty good.

Pretty good, but lost 4-0 (so I was told at the field) to the team they where playing against. I presume it was the United as HB was playing. I saw the second half after my kids game, some pretty decent stuff played.

I also saw some action from the United U17/Rovers game on the 'way out' and it appears that although the Rovers play well in the middle and defensively (often 'pack it in') they really had NO OFFENSIVE threats. They'll need to address this if they're to win at CASL.

I saw it when I was leaving as well and it looked like none of their strikers were there. Have they lost players or just missing on the day?

                    All four goals by HB.

Guest playing for United was a Swedish NT player too.

                      Several players were missing.

She made a big difference on defense and when she brought the ball up to coordinate with the offense. She was injured shortly into the second half and the United goalie saw more action then.

United was missing some players too - notably the Framingham striker and the injured BBN striker. So their offense was not what it might have been either.

I wasn't there for this epic match but I've heard that the Rovers have had several scrimmages this fall and have yet to score a goal. Not sure who the competition has been but offense appears to be a continuing problem for them.

Anyone know when the injured BBN striker is due back ? Was it a fibular or tibia break ?

Also, who did Stars scrimmage over the weekend ?

I saw SM jogging around (with a bit of a limp) on Sunday at the United 17/Rovers game. I heard it was a fibia/tibia break and I suspect, based on what I saw, that she'll try to get back for the last couple of HS games to prepare her for the Regional ODP stuff and Stars' tournaments which are upcoming shortly thereafter.

We all wish her a complete and speedy recovery.
