Here is the truth…09s looking good for ECNL playoffs going into spring. One of the playups agreed to play with the 09s to try and help keep the playoff spot. The other one rejected the 09 coach when asked and said they had “training” meanwhile our MD United game was in the same area. The next day we had a game in Jersey. She didn’t go to that one either. Unlike the other player, this family is selfish and think they’re DD is too good for the 09s.

Next, KL should step in knowing our 09s are on the bubble and put the player with the 09s to get that playoff spot. KL said his goal was to get every team in the playoffs at the very least. Instead our club plays parent politics and makes deals instead of what is good for the Club as a whole.

This is just the result of a inflated parents ego and a ECNL director with no cojones. SC is a great coach but he is also at fault in this. We have heard that the 09 coach may not be coming back next year either because of this whole situation.

So you are upset that a player who is on the 08 team won’t also play with the 09 team to help out? Why do you think she is under any obligation to help out another team? She’s on the 08 team, not the 09 team. By the way she is being discussed here why would she want to help out at this point. Maybe the 08 schedule at this point is rigorous enough where playing extra games is not what they want to do. Leave them alone and worry about the players who are actually on the 09 team.

From previous years ecnl rules did not allow you to play two games in the same “fixture”-so if kids wanted to play their age and then age up against the same team/fixture, it was not allowed. Has this changed?

Follow up-look at competition rules. They can’t be rostered on both teams is they are playing same ecnl competition. So this may have been an issue of not playing in the fall, but at this point they are rostered with the 08s so leave it at that. Doubt the coach leaves bc of that and if they do they should go out and recruit and develop.

You would be back to your below average team, to lose 0-3 in pool play. If I were you and so bitter at the club, just take your daughter to one of the other ECNL clubs convenient to you; as it stands in VA, Loudoun, VDA and Arlington are all in line to go to SD or if your daughter is that good, have her tryout for an 08 team and make your own deal, if that's what's bothering you? The 09 DMV is a small world, airing it all out on the message board is not a good look.
