A challenge would be helping the now struggling 09s. The best players make other players around them better and not vice versa. You left our team to implode.

If a player is playing up, it's really their choice if they want to play back down at age, unless it is mandated by club and/or coach. Does not make them not a #teamplayer. From what I have seen typically permanently playing up is a result of moving to a new club and trying out for that older team and intent to move is to play on older team, not at age.

If the 09 team was doing well, it wouldn’t be an issue. The fact is the 09s are having a very tough spring and there is one 09 that has REFUSED to help the 09 team. The other 09 that was/is playing up has been willing to help. It also tells many of us that KL does not care about not only the 05/04s, 07s, but now 09s too. We need players desperately.

No, the 09s need as much help as they can get. The only 09 that is a true play up is not a #teamplayer and the family thinks they are better than everyone else. Just play on age.

Here is all you need to know about how SC and his team have faired since he arrived. Before SC, Bethesda 08s TIED PDA South and since have gone on to challenge the likes of Blue, PF, WC, and SUSA while the same bottom tier teams have stayed the bottom tiered teams over the last 3 years.

While you think they should be playing “birth year” because your team is struggling remember these girls/players are the same grade level as many of the 08s or whatever birth year. If they can and are able to play up you would have your kid do the same, especially bc it does not interfere with recruiting years like other sports where they would be considered “hold backs.” Just a few years back the 08s were bottom of ECNL as well and the core group of players have just stuck it out through coaching changes and all and now with SC. The 09s are just never happy with the situation and complain just like the 07s did that ended up with a lot of the team leaving.

Umm pretty sure the 08s results this year reflect some of these girls playing “up.” Don’t think the parents would be on board if they weren’t playing “majority of minutes.” Funny how you think KL now “cares” about the 08 team now when, as stated, this team was bottom of the league just a few years ago. Deals were made so that these 09s would come along with other 08s. I won’t say what they are but the parents know. This club is a s- show and highly unprofessional.

Your first statement is NOT TRUE AT ALL. But okay. Keep hating. Second statement, yes they were more successful but not to the same success as this year. Take Jeff cup. No wins last year in second flight and got handled by top teams. Not so this year.

not sure what your third statement is supposed to prove. Trapped players will always be a thing so unless soccer goes back to grade level, this proves nothing.

Fourth statement- don’t hate the player hate the game. If you think any club team doesn’t do what it takes to win, the pickle ball court is calling but maybe that’s too competitive, too. Moving on…

08 parent is nervous about her kid's future on this team and starting trouble during tryout season. Stop concerning about everyone else. Move on.

08s will win out their remaining games and make it to nationals. They played the top teams already and only got outplayed once.
