Trump was POTUS for 4 years-
he didnt drop our membership in NATO-he made NATO ARM up against their will (lucky for them considering the current state of affairs)
Russia didnt move against Ukraine while he was POTUS- Russia didnt even hold war games with Belarus during his time
Russia has stated that the eastern expansion of NATO as one of its reasons (Biden admin diplomatic fail)
Trump delivered the first lethal aid to Ukraine (obama admin delivered only humanitarian and forbid any lethal aid)
when the first shots were fired those were weapons supplied by the Trump admin (the Biden admin hadnt even approved lethal aid at that point)

anyone with a brain knows what went on -5 min worth of research will give you the timelines
and nobody believes in your fortune telling skills

Putin is way smarter than Trump and knew it was better to wait. He plays the long game and planned this for years. He also had been building up his military all that time, clamping down of dissent and shuttering media outlets. He knew he had Trump in the bag

Putin does play the long game- he waited 4 years to do this - he figured Hillary would win and he could go right in,but Trump won so he had to wait
Once he saw Biden win -the plans went back on the table, especially after the Afghanistan pullout disaster
