In the case of NK and Iran both regimes know it would be suicidal if they attacked any American Military facility causing casualties, now depending on that attack and the level of destruction or the lose of life i still hold a question on what and how far Trump or any other President would go in regards to a retaliation.

You have to soften up the country and that's why i dont agree with the killing of Soleimani at this moment. I believe we were very close to Iran internally breaking apart but this killing reignited and united Iran against the United States while gathering support from many Iraqi's who know they will be in the middle and after 17 years of war in which the US has totally demolished the country and i dont see them trusting the US for a nickel.

The Iranian border to Al Asad Air Base is roughly 275 miles away, but the Missiles where not launched from the border and that we know. It was launched further inland.
However If it was fired from the border at the 275 mile distance with the fastest traveling speed of the most newest of technology that the US holds it would mean its arrival to the Base of 5-7 minutes, that's plenty of time to spot and track especially when we are talking about 17+ traveling around at the time, we do know that the launch was done as one.
