Booming economy? What has that meant in terms of real wage growth for most Americans? Most economic reports show there hasn't been much movement in terms of real wage growth. So who is getting all this money?

The Fed recently released the figures showing the distribution of wealth across the country, using the average age of 35 for each of the last major generations. In 1989, when the average boomer was 35, they held 21% of the wealth. In 2008, when the average Gen Xer was 35, they held 12% of the wealth. In 2023, when the Millennials reach that 35 average, this number will be much worse. They hold just 3% of the wealth now.

And how about the recent report that shows more than 25% of Americans are delaying medical care because they can't afford the cost of the prescribed care. We have many reports that talk of people trying to stretch out insulin usage because of costs, for example. The cost of healthcare is this country is putting major strain on family budgets. We are the richest nation in the world, according to some. We are an enlightened people, so some would say. And we are just about the only Western nation that doesn't provide some basic level of free healthcare to its citizens. I just was prescribed an inhaler to treat a cough hanging on after a cold. The price of that inhaler is $38.00. The price for the exact same thing in Canada is $8.25. And I don't get my healthcare through work.

And how about those farmers that have already gone under over all this. I read a report today that foreclosures on farms is up 25% from the start of the Trump administration.

The economy isn't just about Wall Street and 401Ks.

Just a start - more a white than black. The NY case it seems the victim fought back which probably panicked the attackers (#1 lesson in personal safety - just give them your stuff. It's just stuff). Police said the two they have caught (one 13, one 14) weren't the ones who stabbed her. That person is still at large and it's unclear what their age is.

Do it in the same park and make attendance mandatory for any teen within a half mile of Morningside. If it deters only one, then job well done.
