The inspector general’s report was going to pull back the curtain, reveal the truth, and explain that the whole Russia investigation could genuinely be dismissed as an illegal witch hunt. The report was going to provide Trump with hard evidence against James Comey, against Andrew McCabe, against Peter Strzok, against everyone who had ever had the gall to actually investigate Trump’s open, public outreach to Vladimir Putin.

Except it didn’t. Instead. the inspector general found that the FBI had had more than adequate reason to open the investigation into connections between the Trump campaign and Russia. It found that all of the people who have populated thousands of Trump tweets over the last years—Comey, McCabe, and agents up and down the line—acted without political intent, out of concern over national security. Horowitz’s report didn’t just fail to find any of the conspiracies that Trump and Barr had been touting; it also laid to rest any idea that there is anything, anything, behind those claims.

Because what you wrote above was premature and is a perfect example of how you're quick to pull the trigger without any critical thinking. More importantly it says the whole Russia investigation on Trump, his campaign and the special counsel was a sham, hoax, which hunt, what ever you want to call it. And it's not over. Well Snowflake, you're not being intellectually honest with yourself if that's your take away. However, I'm not arguing that start of the investigation was correctly predicated as I note in my previous post below. It's everything after that, that was a sham and Horowitz essentially agreed. The whole investigation collapsed in January 2017 when the dossier sub source told the FBI that the entire report was fabricated.

Hey Snowflakes, so Trump and republicans correct yet again and vindicated with the Horowitz report. The deep state was well at work:

1) The initial "Russia" investigation was correctly predicated with information from the Australian intelligence agency. Basically Papodopplous' tells a Greek diplomat that Russia has dirt coming that can be damaging to Hilary (which turns out he was just reiterating what an Australian agent told him and had no direct personal knowledge, his mistake was gossiping about it). The FBI opens a counterintelligence investigation.
2) Shortly after the Steele dossier comes out. Funded by Clinton. The dossier is used to spy on Page because Page was traveling and having many conversations with Russians.
3) By January 2017, before Trump was sworn in the sub sources of the Steele dossier told the FBI that it was all garbage. Steele went to the media selling the story. The FBI cuts Steele off as a source.
4) FBI agent Burce Orr picks up from there and continues to try to get information from the Steele/Fusion GPS on his own because his wife was connected to Fusion GPS. Orr had no involvement in FBI counterintelligence investigations he was in a different department within the FBI but went out of his way to get involved and insert known false information.
5) The Page FISA application noted that the Steele dossier and Page interactions with Russians as the primary drivers for the application and request for Spying.
6) The FBI went back 3 times to request FISA reapproval on Page and each time they did not let the courts know that the Dossier was false information.
7) The reason why Page was talking to Russians a lot was because he was an informant for the CIA. The CIA was using him as a source.
8) In the 2nd, 3rd, 4th reapproval for the FISA spying application on Page, an FBI lawyer doctored a document that stated that Page was an CIA informant to Page was NOT a CIA informant. A complete reversal of the truth.

So the key pieces of information used to Spy on Page and the Trump campaign were known to be false and doctored. These are just some of the 17 significant findings that are are damming to the FBI and its leadership at the time. Explain to me how this is NOT THE DEEP STATE at work?

Regarding political bias. Horowitz did not say there was no bias, he said he could not find evidence of bias. He admitted that the findings fall somewhere between gross incompetence by much of the leadership to political bias or somewhere inbetween.

Nothing like the do nothing democrats. Obama had 8 years and if you look at his list of accomplishments, it comes down to a stripped down obamacare that even democrats agree is not the answer based on the disagreements during their debates. They cant agree on what a solution should be let alone actually get something done.

My man trump is getting sheet done in a hostile environment. Imagine if the democrats spent any time trying to govern and fix things. Glad trump is in office shaking up the establishment and dealing with the important issues that others didnt have the fortitude to do. Cant wait for the next 4 years!

The "deal" isn't much of a deal and largely sets up back to where we were before. Also, it's only a "phase one" and if Trump doesn't like what China has done there won't be a phase two. In the meanwhile billions have been lost by American companies and farmers.
Relationships that take years to build are now shattered and probably won't be rebuilt until trump is out of office (no one trusts him). US taxpayers have paid out over $25B in farm subsidies so that Trump wouldn't lose the rural vote. So. Much. Winning.

As for his getting things done? no wall, no healthcare, no infrastructure....He got a tax cut for the rich and has skyrocketed the nation's debt to historic levels (at a time when we should be paying it down). So yipppee he's making us more broke, just like he did in many of his failed businesses. The House has sent over dozens of bills to the GOP controlled Senate that Moscow Mitch won't even bring to a vote.
