SC was expanded to 9 when the # of circuit courts went to 9. Each Justice oversaw the appeals from one circuit.

There are now 13 circuit courts so perfectly reasonable to go to 13 justices.

you are too obtuse to see the danger that this poses and the terrible precedent that it sets...please explain why RBG and Breyer have recently railed against this very move? they are as liberal as it gets and know that this is wrong...as to the justices being appointed past precedent was to confirm when the current president was from your party and not to confirm when the president was from the other party...this move signals that the future numbers for the court will be fluid and changed at the whim of the party in charge and therefore effectively make our highest court useless...please explain why this is necessary when the SCOTUS has the highest ratings it has had in some time

Its over represented by Catholics and the garden variety kind but ardent followers - all because of abortion rights which were decided decades ago.

As for precedent? Maybe McConnell shouldn't have blocked Garland months before an election but ram rodded "I like beer" and "blessed be the fruit" weeks before those elections. The GOP lost its right to be high and mighty on this one.
