He disgusts me. I’m ashamed that this is the man that represents the Republican Party.

The Logical Voice
The vanguard of the Republican Party is scared and there loyalty to Trump is a reflection of that scare.
They sense the major changes about to explode in our American culture. Fewer whites, fewer Christians, fewer people who identify with only two genders...and in the end, the loss of power to a younger generation that is far more tolerant about ambiguity in these areas.
The Gen Xers and principally the Millennials see a different nation and world than those who think they have the power see.
I suspect this is much like the old dogs who ran things prior to the enactment of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and a slew of young folk who rose up and forced the government to back out of a senseless war in Vietnam. They ran scared too. But as always, the older generation will capitulate to the younger ones simply because we die.
Trump and his cronies, along with the old guard Democrats are all terrified and everything they do is about trying to hold onto something that is akin to holding water in your hand.
It can't be done.
Adapt.

Too funny.
“I believe” = con delusion
Polls are untrustworthy in the modern era. After all they predicted a win by HRC.
