Far-left congresswoman Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., has released a plan that would pay lower- and middle-income Americans thousands of dollars every year—in exchange for doing absolutely nothing.

The Washington Post reports, “Tlaib’s bill would give direct cash help to those at the bottom of the income distribution — annually offering $3,000 to individuals and $6,000 to families — in an attempt to reduce poverty in the United States and bolster the wages of the poor.”

Tlaib called her plan “earned income tax credits on steroids.”

“This is basically a broader umbrella for families that make $50,000 or less if you are single, or $100,000 or less if you are a family,” Tlaib added.

The proposal offered by Tlaib, a member of the Democratic Socialists of America and political ally of socialist congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., would cost “trillions” of dollars, according to the Washington Post’s report, and serves as yet another reminder that many Democrats have absolutely no clue how basic economics works.

What Dems and Progressives don't understand is that the Mexican Drug cartels run everything. By enabling the invasion of thousands and thousands, if not millions of illegals, by keeping the drugs flowing, they enrich the Cartels and make them stronger and stronger.

how do you stop the spread of any disease? you isolate the affected population and dont let them mingle with the unaffected population- and you screen anyone moving about- thats WHO protocol

Have you not seen the other programs this state offers its homeless and elderly?

the POTUS doesn't fund anything- as far as doing nothin. He makes you crazy and if that's all he did that would be enough

when people come through ports of entry on valid travel docs there is a certain level of control- when they just run across the border there is no level of control
its called sovereignty

so then the tariffs shouldn't matter to China and will have no effect on them- so its not an aggressive policy

no reason to kiss or lick as im not looking to govt for any help- im looking to govt to stop making life harder on American citizens- those are the people they were elected to serve

The US government has stated 70% of illegals came in initially legally and overstayed their work, tourist or student visas. Spend more money tracking down the overstays and invest in better tracking systems for visas. A wall is completely inefficient for the number of people stopped and some will always find ways over, under around or though.

More importantly - have much bigger consequences for US employers who hire illegals. Right now they get a little fine at most. Make it really hurt. Then the demand for illegal workers dries up and fewer will want to come. But that tactic doesn't play to the base or GOP donors (or Trump who had at least 2 dozen illegals working at his golf courses).
