Op...back again. Yeah, my dad worked 6 or 7 days a week. Didn’t take advantage of anyone or thing. He worked a physical job and he earned every cent with his back. Sometimes days, sometimes nights. 4 kids. Mom worked at home typing dictated notes, then when we were old enough, she went to work at an admin job in the public school system. Guess what. All 4 kids went to college. We didn’t have fancy clothes, cars, etc. went on simple family vacations like camping trips, etc. all the kids paid for a portion of thier education, all of us us worked jobs, baby sitting, cutting lawns, delivering papers, busing tables, stocking shelves. Minimum wage back then. 3 bucks and change an hour.

Turned my education and hard work into a House and a great paying job. Saved my money. Had only two cars in 20 years. Invested for my future and in my kid. My kid graduated hs with straight As and just shy of 1400 on the SAT exam. Going to a great school, pre med. all 3 siblings own their own home and have good paying jobs with healthcare benefits and 401k or pension.

You see how that works my friend. I didn’t have the bling bling clothes, cars and electronics and neither did my parents. Hard work and investing. My father improved his economic status, his kids improved thier educational status and thier financial status and now my kid is on the way to both a better educational and financial status. Multi generational hard work and capitalism.

Tired of people saying they can’t afford school and can’t find a good job. They aren’t working or looking hard enough. Not willing to make the personal sacrifice necessary to improve thier situation. Made a lot of poor decisions. Unemployment is sub 4 percent, there are jobs out there.

None of this is meant as boasting. It is just a personal example. No one left me a trust fund and I didn’t grow up in Westport

The American dream is quickly evaporating. Open your eyes.

And what came out of the four years of investigation, led by Rep. Gowdy, into all matters Benghazi? Not one indictment. Not one. Zero. Nada.

Why would the American people be interested into an investigation like that?


Now Russia.....22 indictments and still counting. Five guilty pleas and the first fellow on trial.

You didn’t follow closely enough because you would know that congress can’t indict people. Congress makes law they don’t have the power to enforce law. That’s falls under the executive branch.

Yet so many families are struggling with affordable health care and kids are indebting themselves to the tune of five figures to pay for college. Must be the bling bling.

Health care costs are rising because people are getting unhealthier. Fast food, junk food, processed food, etc. when is the last time some kid in the south Bronx had a salad or some fresh vegetables? It happens, but rare. Fried food and fast food. Some of these so called parents let their kids sit around and watch tv or play video games instead of going outside and getting some exercise. If you are on this site, your kid most likely gets plenty of exercise, but most kids aren’t. You dont need a lot of money to take your kid to a pool or go to a park or pick up a basketball or soccer ball.

Same thing with education. It isn’t a teachers job, it is the parents job to take control of their kids education early. It isnt just math and English either. I have young people that we hire at work and these kids don’t understand how credit works, the power of compounding, stock and bond investing, basic budgeting skills and how to reconcile a bank account. Very important life skills that most are not getting. They bury themselves in a hole with debt and don’t save. Dsone will make it, but others are doomed.

CNN media reporter Brian Stelter on Sunday aired a clip of a C-SPAN caller threatening to shoot him and fellow CNN anchor Don Lemon. The caller, identified as “Don,” accused Stelter and Lemon of “calling Trump supporters all racists,” a claim Stelter immediately refuted.

“They don’t even know these Americans out here and they are calling us racists because we voted for Trump?” Don said in the call on Friday. “Come on. Give me a break. They started the war. I see them, I’m going to shoot them.”

Before airing the clip, Stelter noted that his colleagues and reporters at other networks get similar or worse threats, and noted that such calls and emails are “coming in more often.”
